What’s the difference between a breast reduction and a breast lift? It’s a question we get a lot, especially as patients want to treat themselves to a new look for the summer season.

The main difference we usually stress to patients is that a breast lift does not significantly reduce the size of the breast. The aim of a lift is not to add fullness but to reposition the ni***es to a higher position while at the same time somewhat tightening the skin envelope , however there is a limit to how tight we can make this envelop.

While the breast reduction removes breast tissue, fat and excess skin and is used to make the breasts smaller, lighter and more comfortable.

When people think of liposuction, they often picture the abdomen. But we’re seeing more and more patients asking about liposuction for the back. Whether it’s performed as part of a tummy tuck with 360 liposuction or used on its own to address stubborn pockets of fat, it’s easy to see why this area has become such a common topic of conversation.

As plastic surgeons, our goal isn’t simply to remove fat from one area. It’s to create balance and proportion. If we contour the abdomen while leaving the back unchanged, the overall result may not look as harmonious as it could. Likewise, as we age, the skin on the back can naturally lose elasticity and develop pockets of fat that often don’t respond to diet and exercise alone.
