Summer fun, road trip or hike

Alphabet scavenger hunt. As long as you keep the order of the Alphabet you are in the game.

Here are a few ideas for various scenarios:

15 seconds to find an item. Don't collect, describe or point.

While driving fibs and imagination should be encouraged. For example: O is for octopus sitting in a field. Sorry you all missed it. Create engagement not competition.

Hike with a camera and collect pictures. End of the trail compare.

Variation for a group. Person 1 finds A, Person 2 finds B, and so on.

Canada has released a National Autism Strategy.

The next step is listening to Autistic people and communities across the country.

The National Autism Network (Canada's National Autism Network) is coming to St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, to hear directly from community members about what Canada’s Autism Strategy should look like in practice in Newfoundland and Labrador for Autistic people of all ages.

On May 20, 2026, the Network will be presenting at the Embracing Neurodiversity Conference, hosted by the Autism Society, Newfoundland & Labrador (ASNL).
The following day, the Network and ASNL will host a free community engagement session. This session will bring people together to share their experiences and help shape the next steps for Canada’s Autism Strategy.

You do not need to attend the conference to join the engagement session. Everyone is welcome to take part.
