Registration now open for our Summer Mom & Baby Postnatal Yoga 8-week series with starting Oct 1!

Bring your baby along as you carve out time to nurture yourself in a class created specifically for the postpartum season.

This supportive practice helps you reconnect with your body in a space that makes room for feeding, fussing, movement, and rest.

Through yoga postures and functional movement, we create more space and freedom within while easing tension and gradually rebuilding strength.

We pay special attention to areas that often feel overworked or depleted in early motherhood, including the abdominals, shoulders, neck, hips, and low back.

Variations and props are offered so you can meet your body exactly where it is, not where you think it should be.

This class is a beautiful way to ease back into movement, reconnect with your body, and be held in a community of other moms who understand this tender, powerful season.

There is no bouncing back here.

Come exactly as you (and baby) are ♥️

Gather with Nicole, Christie, or Maria this Fall for Gentle Yoga, a slower and more supportive approach to movement.

Class begins slowly, warming the body with gentle floor-based movement before transitioning into standing postures, with optional support from a wall or chair. Yoga props are used throughout to offer support and greater stability, inviting you to explore your sweet space. We then return to the floor to finish with practices that support deep rest and integration.

Gentle Yoga is for anyone who appreciates a slower pace, with plenty of support and options along the way. The class is welcoming for both beginners and continuing practitioners, and each teacher brings her own unique style to the practice.

Join us in person at Embody Yoga & Wellness, 10 Forbes Street in the west end of St. John’s, or online from anywhere via Zoom.

Fall classes begin September 9, 10, and 15.
There are only a few studio spaces remaining in our morning classes, with online space available as well.

New to us? Get started with a Discovery Pass.

Returning? Join with a Membership or one of our pass options, space permitting, including Drop-in, 5-Class, or 10-Class Pass.

This practice has given me so much and I’m so looking forward to resuming class in September.

As someone who has a spine condition that causes chronic tension and pain this is my primary personal practice for relief and to manage my symptoms.

Releasing tension in the lower spine and pelvis is the foundation of this practice and it also deeply supported me through years of fertility struggles.

Through creating space and unfurling tension patterns through the spine, this practice allows the body to be more available to letting go and resting.

Supreme Release Yoga utilizes support of yoga props and sometimes your hands/arms to gently and meticulously position your body at intentional angles to decompress your spine.

Classes also include pranayama utilizing your breath and guided awareness to support integration and deep rest.

Our next series starts Tuesday, September 15, 7:15pm (75 min).

I was 30 weeks pregnant when this picture was taken. I was just feeling “safe enough” to celebrate our pregnancy.

We struggled to conceived and while we were overjoyed to finally be pregnant, we were also scared.

We all have a history that we bring into our pregnancy and stories that impact how we perceive birth.

And while we can’t control exactly how things will go we can RESOURCE ourselves to navigate the path ahead as best we can.

With physical movements that create space and release physical tension to prepare the body for birth.

With breathing, awareness, and restorative practices that settle the mind and nervous system.

With knowledge that helps you prepare and builds your confidence.

With being part of a community on a similar path to share in your experience.

This is how we hope to support expectant moms in our Prenatal Yoga 8-week series.

These elements are interdependent, weaving together to deepen the integration into your pregnancy and birth.

We start this Monday, August 10, 6-7:15.

We have a few studio spaces remaining or you can join us online via Zoom. Recordings are sent to all students one week after the live class to review and practice at home as you wish.

Many expectant moms join Prenatal Yoga as a means to exercise and keeping moving during pregnancy but these classes also offer so much more.

Most of the moms I hear from after their birth talk about how connecting to their breath and moving their bodies in the particular ways we do in class supportive them through their birth.

Our 8-Week Summer Session of Prenatal Yoga starts this Monday, August 10 from 6-7:15pm in person at Embody Yoga & Wellness in the west end of St. John’s or online via Zoom.

Classes also include pregnancy and birth education to help integrate what we’re doing in class into your outside of the studio.

Can’t make it live? No problem! Recordings are available for one week after the live class.

I’ve taught Prenatal Yoga classes where almost half of us had medical assistance to get pregnant and/or a history of loss.

It is more common than you think.

While finally conceiving and sustaining a pregnancy is exciting, it can also be absolutely nerve wracking especially for those who have had struggles to get there.

I’m open about my journey in our classes because I hope it helps others who have a history of struggling to feel less alone in their experience.

To understand that their history leaves an imprint which can impact the lens in which they view their pregnancy experience and that it is ok to feel excited and scared.

Our 8-week Summer session of Prenatal Yoga starts this Monday, August 10 at 6pm (75 min). Each class also includes a pregnancy or birth related topic to support you at this time.

We have a few studio spaces remaining Embody Yoga & Wellness or you can join online via Zoom. Recordings are available for a week after the live class.
