When people think of Gemini, they often imagine someone with two faces.

Mythology tells a different story.

The constellation comes from the Greek twins, Castor and Pollux. Although they were born together, they were never truly the same.

Castor was mortal.

Pollux was divine.

One inherited the limits of human life. The other carried the blood of Zeus and the promise of immortality.

They grew together, fought beside one another, and became inseparable. No victory belonged to one brother alone.

Then tragedy struck.

Castor was killed in battle.

For the first time, Pollux discovered that even immortality could not protect him from grief. He begged Zeus to let him surrender his eternal life rather than exist forever without his brother.

Zeus answered in an unexpected way.

Neither brother would remain separated again.

Instead, they would share existence itself. Part of their time would be spent upon Olympus, while the other part would be spent in the Underworld. Their bond became so powerful that even death could not divide it.

That is why Gemini has always been linked with duality.

Not because it represents deception.

Because it reminds us that every person lives between opposites.

Logic and instinct.

Light and shadow.

Joy and sorrow.
