A beautiful modern building at the west edge of the town of Stettler.

With the Stettler Sports Park and playing fields on one side, and active farmland on the other, residents enjoy an ever-changing seasonal vista of athletics and crop cycles.

Today, we take a moment to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

At Points West Living Stettler, our residents came together to create a beautiful art collage, hung in our main foyer. Each piece represents a unique individual and their own journey, coming together to symbolize the importance of connection, understanding, and respect.

Today, we honour the Survivors of residential schools, remember those who never made it home, and recognize the strength of Indigenous families, communities, and cultures.

May today be a reminder that every person has a role to play in building a future rooted in understanding, respect, and kindness.

PWLST residents had a wonderful time last week making homeade ice cream!

From mixing the ingredients to rolling the cans across the table, everyone enjoyed being involved in each step of the process. The activity was filled with smiles, laughter, and a little friendly teamwork along the way.

This unique hands-on activity brought back fond memories and provided an opportunity for residents to connect, reminisce, and enjoy creating something special together.

And, of course, the best part was tasting the ice cream we made! It was truly a fun and delicious day.

As the warm summer nights begin to turn a little cooler, PWLST residents find themselves reflecting on the wonderful memories made around our campfires this summer!!

From laughs shared with friends and family, to s’mores enjoyed under the evening sky and stories told around the fire, these moments are what make summer so special.

Here’s to the memories, the friendships, and the good times shared around the campfire!

PWLST residents had the opportunity to get their shoes dirty, feel the wind in their hair, and take in the familiar smell of the farm.

Over the past few weeks, residents enjoyed visits to Spirit’s Respite Ranch, a therapeutic ranch dedicated to bringing people and animals together to create meaningful moments of healing, joy, and connection.

During their visits, residents had the chance to interact with the horses, meet the ranch staff and campers, feed the goats, and cuddle with the dogs and cats, among many other activities. For many residents, the experience brought back fond memories of their own farming days and created a strong sense of connection to the past. The smiles and stories shared throughout the visits were a wonderful reminder of the joy that comes from meaningful experiences with animals and the outdoors.

A big thank you to everyone at Spirit's Respite Ranch for making each visit so special. Your warmth, kindness, love, and compassion made these experiences truly memorable for our residents.

At PWLST, we strive to grow both as individuals and as a community. Part of that growth includes encouraging and supporting the next generation of care partners as they learn, develop their skills, and discover the meaningful impact they can have on the lives of others.

Throughout the year, you may notice students throughout our community—learning, growing, and gaining valuable experience from our residents. Having students among us gives us all a sense of purpose as we support their learning and development, while also demonstrating Eden Principle #7: “We are more than our medical diagnosis. Medical treatment should support and empower us to experience a life worth living.”

A big THANK YOU to our HCA Students of July 2026, who gave back to our community by donating some fabulous prize items to our Recreation Team!

We are grateful for the kindness, respect, and support you showed our residents throughout your time with us. Thank you for being a valued part of our community, and we wish you all the very best of luck as you continue your education and pursue your careers in care.

Gathering to celebrate culture is a proud moment for many and we were very thankful and honoured to have welcomed a special opportunity and wonderful guests into our community!!

Residents at Points West Living Stettler gathered today to celebrate and learn about the Filipino Culture! What a fantastic afternoon of performances, food, and learning!!

Thank you to all of the care partners, families and community of Stettler members who helped put on a fabulous show!! We are so grateful for you!!

At PWLST, we have a very special pet that has returned again this year! Elvis the rock snake has made his way back into the main courtyard garden bed and cannot wait to continue to grow!

If you would like to add a rock onto his chain and see him grow, please bring your painted rocks to the Recreation Office! We will give them a protective spray and they add them to our rock snake!!
