At PWLST, we strive to grow both as individuals and as a community. Part of that growth includes encouraging and supporting the next generation of care partners as they learn, develop their skills, and discover the meaningful impact they can have on the lives of others.

Throughout the year, you may notice students throughout our community—learning, growing, and gaining valuable experience from our residents. Having students among us gives us all a sense of purpose as we support their learning and development, while also demonstrating Eden Principle #7: “We are more than our medical diagnosis. Medical treatment should support and empower us to experience a life worth living.”

A big THANK YOU to our HCA Students of July 2026, who gave back to our community by donating some fabulous prize items to our Recreation Team!

We are grateful for the kindness, respect, and support you showed our residents throughout your time with us. Thank you for being a valued part of our community, and we wish you all the very best of luck as you continue your education and pursue your careers in care.

Gathering to celebrate culture is a proud moment for many and we were very thankful and honoured to have welcomed a special opportunity and wonderful guests into our community!!

Residents at Points West Living Stettler gathered today to celebrate and learn about the Filipino Culture! What a fantastic afternoon of performances, food, and learning!!

At PWLST, we have a very special pet that has returned again this year! Elvis the rock snake has made his way back into the main courtyard garden bed and cannot wait to continue to grow!

If you would like to add a rock onto his chain and see him grow, please bring your painted rocks to the Recreation Office! We will give them a protective spray and they add them to our rock snake!!

PWLST Residents and Care Partners are very thankful for the donation of new Garden Boxes for our upstairs patios and main courtyard, donated by Joan Baltimore and Family as well as The Co-operators in Stettler.

They look gorgeous and our residents are very happy with the new addition! Flowers have recently been plants to start our summer garden season!

If you haven’t seen them in person, stop by our main courtyard or upstairs patios to see the new boxes!

What a puppy-love filled day!

PWLST residents were greeted with love, licks, and laughter as we watched puppies from Saving Grace Animal Society take over our hearts. The puppies played together, m cuddled the residents, then played some more. All residents, care partners, and visitors left with smiles spreading across their faces.

These puppies are up for adoption right now at Saving Grace! Stay tuned on their page for updates as they were surely go fast!

Happy National Volunteer Week!

As we take this time to honour all of volunteers in the world and our town of Stettler, we want to share an extra big shout out to our PWLST Volunteers!

At PWLST we have many volunteers - from one-to-ones, DUET bike volunteers, music groups, kids groups, religious groups, and so much more. We are so very thankful to have these people in our community daily supporting our residents and care partners. Without you, we could not achieve the magical things we do. You brighten up our lives one smile at a time!

To thank all of our wonderful volunteers, we hosted our Volunteer Appreciation BBQ for them to show our appreciation!

If you see one of our fabulous volunteers around the community this week, thank them for all they do!
