Drumming for Grandfather Fire with Elk & Bison Medicine.

Creator, hear this song, this prayer, this heartbeat

Grandfather Fire, We sit before your light and your wisdom.
May the drum carry our heartbeat to the Creator,
and may each strike awaken remembrance within us.

Grandfather Fire, teach us transformation.
Burn away what no longer serves our spirit.
Illuminate the path ahead with courage, clarity, and truth.

Elk Medicine, walk beside us.

Teach us endurance, strength, and community.
Help us move with confidence, honor, and purpose,
standing tall in the gifts we carry.

Bison Medicine, guide our steps.

Teach us abundance through gratitude, humility through service, and trust in the sacred provisions of life. May we remember that everything we need is already within and around us.

As the drum echoes across the earth, may its song unite the teachings of Fire, Elk, and Bison.

May our spirit be strong, our heart be open,
and our footsteps be guided by the ancestors.

Learning From Grandfather Fire 🔥

Grandfather Fire teaches us that everything alive must be tended. A fire does not burst into strength all at once.
It begins as a spark — a baby fire — fragile, searching for breath, warmth, and care.

Too much force can smother it.
Too little attention can let it fade.

Fire teaches relationship.

To sit with fire is to learn patience.
To watch flame is to remember how emotion moves through the body — rising, softening, releasing, transforming.

Grandfather Fire asks us:

What are you feeding?
What are you protecting?
What within you is asking to grow?
What must burn away so abundance can emerge?

Earth holds the fire.
Wood feeds the fire.
Air gives the fire life.
Spirit carries its message.

When we tend the fire, we are also tending ourselves:
our grief, our rage, our joy, our ancestors, our bodies, our communities.

The smallest ember can become warmth for many.
Emotional abundance comes from being witnessed.
Physical abundance comes from connection, reciprocity, and care.

Grandfather Fire reminds us: watch closely, tend gently, listen deeply.

Because every living thing begins as a small fire.

Meet another Medicine Maker for the Summer Solstice - Meaghan Sutherland with

Ruby’s House was born; born out of the idea that the use of herbs to support a healthier life, be it through products or education, be available for anyone seeking to explore the patient quiet knowledge of plants without feeling intimidated.

My small home and heart centered business is new to Stettler and area, as I now start to venture “officially” outside of sharing just with my own family and friends. I wanted to bring my gifts and talents to more people.

Current physical products include healing salve, herbal infused tallows, and bulk organic herbs with more projects on the way. I aim to spur interest in group plant walks and/or indoor group sessions, medicine creating classes and DIY take home kits to give people an opportunity to explore their own ability to help support their health and that of their family through the healing benefits of humble, and familiar, herbs.

Meet one of of our Medicine Makers for the Summer Solstice - Shelley May☀️

Medicine Dolls are deeply connected to my story. As the granddaughter of a residential survivor, I came to recognize the limiting beliefs I carried were holding me back. I needed to shift and live up to my potential. After my mother passed away and I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cervical Cancer, I began to use my art as a way to heal, set intention, process my grief and trauma and reconnect with myself at a deeper level.

Although my dolls were born of my own creativity, I began to be guided to add things like plant medicines and other traditional elements. These elements added another level of depth to my dolls shifting them from not just a fun craft but to a ceremony.

Meet another creator and medicine maker of Summer Solstice- Felicity

I am originally from Port Hardy BC, and currently living in Stettler AB, I am an aspiring first nations artist with a passion for drum-making, drum circles, painting and other fun creative interests.

My creativity and inspiration comes from my spirituality, the need to learn about my Kwakiutl Indigenous culture on my fathers side, as well as from my Mothers side Scottish, Norwegian, whom was an artist that did beautiful ink work, paintings and other works throughout her spiritual and creative life.

I want to create my drums, share the beauty and healing of drum circles and sound therapy meditation. As I learn, I want to share and teach the world about the history in Canada of the Indigenous peoples.

I am a Creature of instinct and intuition - a wild-hearted visionary here to stir change and awaken truth. As a Manifester, I move with bold energy and
initiate what others only dream of. I don’t wait for permission; I feel the pulse, trust the current, and act.
I am devoted to gatherings - sacred spaces where connection deepens, stories are honored, and community becomes medicine. I believe healing happens in circles, in shared breath, in safety that allows us to unravel and rise. Growth, for me, is not a solitary climb but a collective remembering.
My passion is to walk alongside others as they Return Home to Self - to the wisdom of their ancestors, the rhythm of the earth, and the energy that lives in their bodies. I honor what is ancient, what is intuitive, what is wild.

This day is curated with guidance from our ancestors, as we gather in celebration honouring the land, season and blessings.

This is a soft outline of all the blessings as we allow ourselves to be guided by Mother Nature.

All of the above gifts, blessings, space, food and drinks for the day are provided in cost.

$444 registration fee for 2 days

$ 50 for lodging at house ( spaces limited)
