We have wonderful volunteers in Stettler and County ❤️

On a beautiful sunny afternoon, Heritage House resident, Jenn and one of our dedicated volunteers, Alison, enjoyed time together on the outdoor patio creating a knot blanket. As they worked side by side, they shared conversation, laughter, and meaningful moments of connection.
Experiences like these extend far beyond the finished project. They foster relationships, support well-being, and create opportunities for social engagement and purpose. Once completed, the blanket will serve as a lasting reminder of the compassion, kindness, and sense of community that enrich the lives for residents in our care centre.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers who help brighten each day and make moments like these possible.

Earlier this year, Volunteer Resources at the Stettler Hospital and Care Centre held their first Bereavement Support Group.
This meaningful milestone would not have been possible without the compassion, dedication, and care of our specially trained volunteer facilitators – Jodi & Deb. Their commitment created a safe and supportive space for participants to share, heal, and connect.
To everyone who took part—thank you for your open and honest participation. We hope that you are able to continue to lean on the information and peer to peer learning that you gained throughout the 8 week session.

The Bereavement Support program is offered by Volunteer Resources in communities within Central Zone. The next session for Stettler is scheduled to begin October 2026. To register for this session contact Darci at 403-740-8565 or [email protected].
