🌿 What a Beautiful Day at Fort Edmonton Park’s 150 Treaty Signing Event! 🌿

Yesterday, Northern Owl Traditionals had the honour of attending Fort Edmonton Park’s 150 Treaty Signing event as a vendor, sharing teachings and knowledge with visitors throughout the day.

It was truly wonderful to see so many families come out, take part in the event, and show genuine interest in Indigenous culture and traditional knowledge. We had so many thoughtful questions from people wanting to learn more about Indigenous plants, their traditional uses, and the knowledge passed down through generations. 🌱

Days like yesterday reminded us how important it is to create opportunities for people to connect, learn, ask questions, and build a deeper understanding and respect for Indigenous knowledge and traditions.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared in conversation, and took the time to learn with us. It was a beautiful day filled with sunshine, community, curiosity, and connection. ❤️

The Treaty No.6 150th Commemorative Ceremony continues at Fort Edmonton Park coming up on Wednesday!

The day will feature Treaty No. 6 re-enactments, guest speakers, hand games, cultural teachings, pow wow dancing, and more.

📣 Northern Owl Traditionals is excited to be part of the 150 Years of Treaty event at Fort Edmonton Park on August 19!

We'll be joining the park as a vendor from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, where we'll be demonstrating traditional dry teaching and sharing a little of our culture and traditions.

This is the first day of Fort Edmonton Park's 150 Years of Treaty event, featuring a reenactment of the Treaty signing and other programming from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The event is included with your regular park admission, so it's a great opportunity to experience history, enjoy everything the park has to offer, and stop by to say hello!
