A frequently asked question is “How does farm-based ABA compare to clinic-based ABA?”

The biggest difference is the environment our therapy sessions happen outdoors with animals and in real-world settings.

This approach helps children generalize skills more effectively as they practice communication, problem-solving, and social skills in natural situations rather than artificial settings.

Hey parents! Free horse camp this summer!!

Your kid, outside every day, with horses, doing therapy that actually changes something.

From July 3 to August 29, camp is FREE with two therapy sessions a day. And it's covered by most benefits, OAP, JumpStart, and JP. For a lot of families, that's zero out of pocket.

We brought it back because parents begged us to. Last year's spots took all spring to fill. This year they're already going.

Don't miss out. Register before the spots are gone.

Equine-assisted therapy includes mindfulness exercises with horses, encouraging clients to slow down, breathe deeply, and fully engage with their surroundings.

Simply standing with a horse, feeling its breath, and matching its rhythmic movements can have a grounding effect, reducing stress and promoting emotional balance.

Want to stand out in the growing field of equine-assisted work? 🐴📚✨💼

In a field where passion for horses meets mental health and learning support, equine therapy certification helps professionals move beyond interest into structured, responsible practice. Training programs provide the frameworks, supervision, and ethical guidance needed to facilitate safe and meaningful interactions between people and horses.

At Horse Therapy Centre of Canada, our upcoming blog explores why equine therapy certification is an important step for individuals interested in professional equine-assisted work. Certification pathways often focus on horse behavior, facilitation skills, safety standards, and clear scope of practice. These elements help an equine specialist guide sessions with greater awareness, structure, and confidence.

The article will also look at how equine therapy programs contribute to professional credibility in a competitive and evolving field. Many professionals explore options such as equine assisted therapy certification, equine psychotherapy certification, or therapy horse certification to strengthen their knowledge and define their professional roles.

For those researching equine therapy training or considering equine therapy classes, understanding available learning pathways can help clarify long-term career direction. Professional education supports both practical skill development and responsible facilitation when working with clients and horses.

As equine-assisted work continues to expand, equine therapy certification helps professionals demonstrate accountability, knowledge, and commitment to ethical practice.

If you’re interested in developing a career in equine-assisted work, stay tuned for our upcoming blog.

Healing doesn’t wait for a new year or special moment, it begins in connection, right where you are.

At Horse Therapy Canada Centre, our horse-assisted therapy for autism creates a safe, nonjudgmental environment where trust and communication develop naturally and at your own pace.

This approach honors the unique needs and rhythms of every individual, focusing on building meaningful bonds rather than following rigid timelines or expectations.

Horses help participants build emotional regulation, social connection, and sensory integration through gentle interaction and presence.

If you or a loved one is seeking support that respects individuality and nurtures growth holistically, our autism-focused equine programs offer a gentle, effective path.

Experience healing and connection that begin today, without pressure or expectation.

Did you know that horses can sense human emotions?

Our therapy horses are incredibly intuitive, often responding to a client’s energy before a single word is spoken.

Their ability to mirror emotions makes them excellent partners for self-reflection, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
