BCP v MHT: different hormones at different dosing for different goals. If you have bothersome symptoms but do NOT need contraception or menstrual regulation, go w MHT. If you want predictable, controlled periods and/or contraception, MHT cannot provide it so discuss other options.

It is neither good nor bad but rather valuable insights into how our minds affect our experience. Even in studies in which people are TOLD they are receiving placebo they sometimes STILL report effects. FASCINATING!

Iron Deficiency correction can significantly improve many bothersome symptoms at any stage of life. Personally, and in the clinics, we see MANY who have symptoms that overlap w perimenopause and improve with iron deficiency correction. If you are an at risk population or have symptoms of deficiency, I’d recommend working with a qualified provider. It can make a huge difference in feeling and functioning well.

1. High iron needs; 2. low iron intake; 3. low iron absorption; 4. regular blood loss. Anyone in any of these categories is at risk. If you fall into more than one, even higher risk. Treating ID matters, no just for quality of life but also for disease prevention.
