Balance + Restore Co. is inviting the community to their Community Mental Health Gathering on Thursday, August 20 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Origin Brewing in Strathmore.

This special evening has been created to bring people together in a welcoming, supportive environment where mental health conversations can happen openly and compassionately. Attendees will enjoy guest speakers, opportunities for community connection and meaningful conversations, complimentary calm kits, mental health wellness resources, a silent auction, prizes, and music in a relaxing atmosphere.

🎟️ Tickets are just $25 and offer an opportunity to connect, learn, reflect, and support mental wellness within the community.

This is heart breaking 💔

IN THE NEWS: An estimated 20,000 Alberta kids face waiting years to get therapy for disabilities

"Many parents of children already in the program said they see real improvements in the way their children cope with life. Some even shared how kids were now able to attend regular school programs because of the help they got early on.

But parents on the waiting list expressed despair. Many said that as they wait, their kids are getting kicked out of daycare and schools. They’re losing their jobs, taking on debt to pay for therapy, and sometimes seeing kids regress when they run out of money.”

Trying to regulate my nervous system while parenting is actually one of the hardest things I’ve ever done 😂

Because one minute you’re:
deep breathing,
working on emotional regulation,
trying to stay calm…

and the next:
someone is crying,
someone needs a snack,
someone touched another sibling,
the toddler is screaming “mom,”
and you haven’t sat down in 9 hours.

Parenting while trying to heal yourself at the same time is HARD.

Whoever says parenting is easy is a liar 🤣

Community over competition. Always 🤍

We are never going to be the clinic that gatekeeps resources, refuses referrals, or acts weird about other businesses helping people.

We refer out.
We share resources.
We collaborate.
We support other local businesses.
We genuinely want to see other people succeed.

Because at the end of the day, helping people will always matter more than our ego.

If another clinic, organization, support group, shelter, or local business can better support someone……why would we not help connect them?

There is room for all of us.

The more collaboration, support, and community resources we have, the better we can help people and the less alone they feel 🤍
