A BLURRY MAP EXPLAINED FROM A NEUROLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE
When the nervous system faces an unclear body map, it perceives an increased sense of threat because it cannot accurately predict or safeguard movement. To protect itself, the brain triggers a series of defensive outputs, anywhere in the body and not necessarily at the painful site.
1)Chronic Tightness or Stiffness: The brain forces muscles to contract excessively to mechanically lock down a joint it does not trust.
2)Decreased Range of Motion: Movement becomes uncoordinated, heavy, or restricted.
3)Vague or Unexplained Pain: Pain acts as a warning alarm for areas where the brain lacks high-fidelity sensory feedback.
