I know this is only a small thing,
but sometimes the smallest things can become little tools for finding our way back to ourselves.

To anyone in our community who has lost their home or belongings in the fire.
I have lululemon yoga mats available, that I’d love to pass along at no cost
all in New / excellent-like-new condition.

I hope these mats can offer a little comfort, grounding and as an invitation for self-care during such an overwhelming time.

Another member of our Heartspace family Marci an her partner Rob have suffered the unimaginable loss of their home in the Summerland fire.

Our hearts are with them as they begin to navigate everything that comes after such a devastating loss.

whose family has been deeply impacted by the Summerland fires.

Both of Lisa’s daughters, Caitlin and Samantha, have lost their homes in Faulder.

Our beautiful Summerland community has experienced many unimaginable losses in these fires. Many are in need, please support if and where you are able.
Here are two that are close to my heart:
I’m sharing two GoFundMe links for people very close and important to our Heartspace community.

A member of our Heartspace family- Instructor, Eva Hartmann and her partner , have also suffered the devastating loss of their home, business and livelihood- the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society in Summerland.

Also Wildhorse Mountain Ranch, where we have been deeply blessed to gather for our sweat lodge sacred ceremonies has been lost to the fire.
Caroline, her partner and her two young sons have lost their business and livelihood with the loss of Wildhorse Mountian Ranch, theor equipment as well as their family home and Caroline’s parents’ home.

Sweet Heartspace family, What a night it has been for our beautiful Summerland community.

I am holding each and every one of you in my heart and hoping that you, your families, your loved ones, and your animals are safe and cared for wherever you have landed.

With our community evacuated and so much still uncertain, we will of course be cancelling both our Lion’s Gate Ceremony tonight and Yoga classes until we can saftley resume.

It feels especially tender that on a night when we had prepped and intended to gather together in ceremony, we are instead scattered in many different places, but there is still a way that we gather. We gather in spirit. We gather through our hearts. We gather in our prayers for one another, for our homes, for our beautiful community, for the land, and for all of those working so tirelessly to protect it.

Tonight wherever you are, take a moment to place your hands upon your heart center and remember that the sacred space we create together has never existed only within the walls of Heartspace. We carry it with us. Always

Our physical space may be empty tonight, but the heart of our community is very much alive. We are holding Heartspace itself in our prayers as well, along with every home, business, animal, tree and piece of this beautiful sacred place that we love so deeply.
Please take care of yourselves and one another. There is nothing more important.
We will reach out again when things have settled and we know more about when we can safely return and gather together again. Until then we remain connected at the heart.
