🍂 GLA:D Programs Are Returning This Fall! 🍂

We're excited to be offering both GLA:D Hip & Knee and GLA:D Back this fall!
These evidence-based programs combine education and guided exercise to help participants reduce pain, improve strength and mobility, and gain the confidence to manage their symptoms long-term.

GLA:D Hip & Knee is designed for people with hip and/or knee osteoarthritis and may be a great fit if you:
✔️ Have hip or knee arthritis (or think you might)
✔️ Experience joint pain, stiffness, or difficulty with daily activities
✔️ Want a safe, structured way to improve your strength, mobility, and function

GLA:D Back is designed for individuals with persistent or recurring low back pain and may be a good fit if you:
✔️ Have ongoing or recurrent low back pain
✔️ Experience stiffness or difficulty with activities like bending, lifting, or sitting
✔️ Want to learn how to manage your back pain through education and exercise

Both programs are delivered in a supportive small-group setting and are based on the latest research to help you stay active and get back to doing the things you enjoy.

📅 Fall sessions are coming soon!

If you're interested in either program or would like to learn which one is right for you, we'd love to hear from you.

Did you know that even old scars can continue to affect how your body moves and feels?

In this video, we're demonstrating Scar Release Therapy on a wrist following a previous fracture. Using the Dolphin Neurostim, we apply gentle microcurrent stimulation along the scar to help improve tissue mobility.

Scar Release Therapy may help:
✔️ Reduce tightness and pulling around a scar
✔️ Improve tissue mobility and movement
✔️ Decrease numbness or sensitivity
✔️ Support the body's natural healing process
✔️ Improve comfort around surgical or injury scars

This treatment isn't just for recent injuries—it can also be beneficial for older scars that continue to cause discomfort or movement restrictions. We commonly treat scars from fractures, surgeries, C-sections and other injuries.

If you have a scar that's limiting your movement or still causing discomfort, we'd be happy to see if Scar Release Therapy is right for you.

📞 Call us at 705-357-3139 or 📧 email [email protected] to learn more or book an appointment.

“I stretch every day… so why does it keep coming back?”

If that sounds like you, you’re not alone.

We hear this in the clinic all the time:
• “My hips are always tight”
• “My back loosens up, then tightens
again”
• “I feel good after stretching… but only
for a bit”

And that’s the frustrating part —
it does work… just not for long.

So you keep doing more of it.

More stretching
More foam rolling
More “trying to loosen things up”

But nothing actually sticks.

That’s not a consistency problem — it’s a strategy problem

✨ New Service Now Available: Scar Release Therapy ✨

We’re excited to now offer Scar Release Therapy using microcurrent stimulation with the Dolphin Neurostim device.

This gentle, non-invasive treatment helps restore proper communication through scar tissue, which can sometimes disrupt the body’s natural movement and healing processes. By stimulating specific points along the scar, we can help reduce tension, improve mobility, and support overall healing.

This treatment can be especially helpful for moms who have had C-sections, but it may also benefit people with many other types of scars — including surgical scars, injury scars, and older scars that may still be affecting the body.

Benefits of this type of Scar Release Therapy include:

• Supporting faster healing and tissue repair by improving circulation and cellular activity around the incision site

• Reducing abnormal sensations such as numbness, hypersensitivity, or pulling by helping nerve signalling around the scar

• Improving tissue mobility which can help to relax and fade the scar tissue

If you’ve been experiencing tightness, discomfort, or unusual symptoms around a scar, this therapy may help.

For more information or to schedule a scar release therapy appointment, call us at 705-357-3139 or email [email protected] for more info!

We’ve been seeing an increase in kids coming into the clinic with aches and pains related to sports and activity — and one question we hear often is:

“Is this just growing pains?”

While growing pains can happen, persistent pain during or after sports is often related to tendon overload rather than growth itself.

As kids grow, their muscles, tendons, and bones don’t always keep up at the same rate. Add in busy sports schedules, repetitive movements, and rapid growth spurts, and the body can become overloaded.

The good news? Early management can help prevent small issues from becoming bigger ones and keep kids active in the sports they love.

If your child has ongoing aches or pains with activity, it may be worth having it assessed. Our team is happy to help guide you through what’s normal, what isn’t, and how to support growing athletes safely.

Do you have persistent or recurrent low back pain?

We’re excited to offer GLA:D® Back, an evidence-based program designed to help you better understand and manage your back pain.

This program combines education and guided exercises to improve strength, movement, and confidence, while giving you the tools to stay active and manage symptoms long-term.

This program may be a great fit if you:

• Have ongoing or recurring low back pain
• Feel stiff, sore, or limited with daily activities (like bending, lifting, or sitting)
• Have been told you have “non-specific” low back pain
• Want to avoid relying on medication or passive treatments
• Are looking for a safe, structured way to get moving again

Participants learn practical strategies to reduce pain, improve function, and take control of their back health.

If you’re dealing with ongoing back pain and want a clear, guided plan to help you move and feel better, this program may be for you.

As the weather warms up, many of us are lacing up and logging more miles outdoors ☀️🏃‍♂️

Whether you’re getting back into a routine or gearing up for a race, it’s important to remember: running is a full-body activity.

Every stride relies on coordination, strength, mobility, and control from head to toe. When something isn’t functioning optimally, your body adapts—and that’s often when pain shows up. But here’s the catch: where you feel pain isn’t always where the problem starts.

Our gait and functional assessments are designed to break down how your body moves while running. We identify imbalances, inefficiencies, and areas of stress—so we can create a personalized plan to keep you moving forward, stronger and pain-free.

If you’re increasing your mileage or chasing a new personal best, now is the perfect time to invest in how your body moves.

Run smarter. Run stronger. Run pain-free.
