The Woodsman took his Wildflower and the whole crew 1/2 a mile back into our forest to walk, breath deeply, look at the trees, do some foraging, check up on the lil log cabin, and just generally fill-up-our cups for the week ahead 🌲 🍂

We are SO HAPPY about the rain we are getting on the homestead again tonight 🌧 🙌 buuuuuuut the goats are not 😭 Even a single drop of rain is too much when you are a goat Lol
There was a lot of crying from their barn door as they looked out at the wetness. Because they are used to going foraging every evening before bed to eat leaves....we brought the forest to them! 🍃 🍂 Happiness all around!

What an amazing weekend ✨️ We were completely filled and completely spent by Sunday evening.

So much gratitude to everyone who came out, for your love and support...our family & friends, folks from the neighborhood here, people who follow the homestead and just wanted to come hug the goats, random travellers from along the highway and atv trails, friends that came from farther distances...and what JOY to have so many loved ones come from Roseau River and surrounding areas!

I think once people set their feet on the ground, and looked up at the towering trees that my dad loved and knew so well, they understood more of why we set our roots down here 🌳🌲

Special thanks to our 2 nieces who spent the day helping on Saturday and baked all the goodies & my mom and brother for spending Sunday here helping out and feeding us ❤️

We gave a lot of tours of the homestead and farm, which was a highlight for us!

Though we had more people come and our sales exceeded our hopes...those are just man-made markers of success. The biggest joys came from seeing folks sitting around and visiting, people meeting new people and sharing ideas and sensing that creating opportunities for "community & connection" is important to all of us.

🕯 thank you to our new, yet "known", friend who made the distance to come out and brought clarity, peace & light to some of the corners of our heart ~ if you see this, you know who you are and we were so blessed.
