Red, pink or pigmented? Your scar may be ready for BBL. ✨

We’re using Sciton BBL as part of a scar revision treatment plan to target the colour left behind after the skin has healed.

BBL uses targeted light energy to address excess pigment and visible redness within a scar, helping it gradually look more even and blend more naturally with the surrounding skin.

When is the best time to treat a scar?

Once the skin is fully closed and appropriately healed, earlier intervention can often be helpful—especially while a newer scar still has active redness or pigmentation. Timing is individual, so we always assess the scar first.

BBL can be particularly helpful for scars that are:
• Red or pink
• Brown or pigmented
• Showing lingering discolouration
• Flat, but noticeably different in colour

For raised, indented or textural scars, BBL may be only one part of the plan. Different technologies may be recommended to target the texture itself.

Scar revision is about identifying what’s making the scar visible—redness, pigment, texture or a combination—and choosing the right treatment for it.
