Another little story from today. ❤️
At Senior Helpers, one of the practices we've made part of our team culture is personally introducing our care aides to our clients and their families on their very first shift.
Even when a care aide is simply covering a shift, we make an effort to be there.
We started doing this for one simple reason: to help our clients and their families feel comfortable, confident, and reassured about the person entering their home.
But along the way, we discovered something we hadn't expected.
This simple gesture means just as much to our care aides.
Some of our team members have shared that they had never experienced this kind of personal introduction in their previous home care roles.
Instead of walking into an unfamiliar home feeling nervous or uncertain, they arrive knowing that someone from their team is right there to support them.
They feel welcomed. They feel supported. And most importantly, they know they're not doing it alone.
That's when we realized something meaningful.
Sometimes, simply showing up for your people can become one of your team's greatest strengths.
Today, we had the pleasure of personally introducing our wonderful care aide, Karla, to one of our clients.
And that's the kind of culture we're committed to building.
