Acupuncture or IMS - what's the difference?

While both use fine needles, they have different approaches and treatment goals.

Acupuncture is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and focuses on restoring balance, supporting the body's natural healing processes, and addressing a wide range of health concerns.

IMS Dry Needling (Intramuscular Stimulation) is a Western medical technique that targets tight, shortened muscles and trigger points to help relieve persistent muscle and nerve pain.

At our clinic, we offer both treatments because every person, and every condition, is different. Our practitioners can help determine which approach is the best fit for your goals and create a treatment plan tailored to you.

Have questions about which treatment is right for you? Call 604-582-2727 or book an appointment online.
