Did you know soccer helps kids build more than just athletic skills? Running, kicking, changing direction, and working with teammates all help develop coordination, balance, agility and social confidence ⚽️⭐️

Whether its a game in the backyard, a practice with friends, or a quick kick around at the park, soccer is a fun way to keep kids active while supporting healthy development.

What’s happening inside our bodies? πŸ’›

Interoception is our ability to recognize internal body signals like hunger, thirst, a racing heart, needing the bathroom, excitement, frustration, or feeling calm. These signals help children understand their emotions, regulate their bodies, and respond to daily needs.

When interoception skills are challenging, kids may have difficulty with:
✨ Emotional regulation
✨ Toileting awareness
✨ Eating and hunger cues
✨ Identifying feelings
✨ Self-regulation and transitions

At our clinic, we build interoception skills through playful, engaging activities like:
🎲 Body sensations board games
🧠 Body check-in cards
🌑️ Feelings thermometers
πŸ’¨ Breathing and movement activities

Helping children notice and understand their body signals can support confidence, independence, and emotional awareness 🌈
