🤔 Is Stretching the Solution for All Types of Muscle Pain?

Not necessarily.

While stretching can be beneficial for muscle tightness and stiffness, it isn’t the answer to every type of pain. Pain can also arise from muscle tears, inflammation, nerve irritation, joint dysfunction, poor posture, weakness, or movement imbalances.

In fact, stretching the wrong tissue—or stretching at the wrong stage of an injury—can sometimes make symptoms worse.

✅ The real question isn’t “What stretch should I do?”

✅ It’s “What’s causing the pain?”

A thorough physiotherapy assessment can identify the root cause of your symptoms and guide you toward the most effective treatment plan—whether that’s stretching, strengthening, manual therapy, movement retraining, or a combination of approaches.

💡 Treat the cause, not just the symptom.

Thank you Ananthu Suji for giving me this opportunity to give back to my community.

Have you ever wondered why pain sometimes continues even after an injury has healed?

Many women experience persistent neck pain, back pain, headaches, joint pain, and fatigue, yet medical tests often show very little explanation. The answer may lie in the powerful connection between the brain, nervous system, emotions, stress, and pain.

In this talk, I explore the fascinating field of the Neuropsychology of Pain and explain how our thoughts, emotions, stress levels, sleep, and life experiences can influence the way pain is experienced in the body.

Designed especially for Tamil women, this presentation includes simple demonstrations, real-life examples, and practical insights to help understand chronic pain from a whole-person perspective.

Pain is real. But pain is more than tissue damage. Understanding how the brain processes pain can be the first step toward healing.

Watch, learn, and share with someone who may be silently living with pain.

Did You Know?
Dizziness and vertigo are not the same.

🔹 Dizziness = feeling lightheaded, faint, or unsteady.
🔹 Vertigo = a spinning sensation, like you or the room is moving.

Knowing the difference helps you get the right treatment.
