We promise, they’re still happy to see you.

All jokes aside, we know life happens. Schedules change, kids get sick, emergencies pop up, and sometimes plans simply don’t go the way you expected.

We always do our best to work with our patients while also respecting the time our practitioners have set aside specifically for your appointment.

Our cancellation policy helps us keep appointments available for those who need them and allows our team to provide care to as many people in our community as possible.

If something comes up, just give us as much notice as you can. We’re always happy to talk with you and do our best to find a solution.

And please be nice to the front desk… they’re just doing their job.

Your shoes may be telling you more than you think.

Footwear that's worn out, no longer supportive, or simply isn't right for the activity you're doing can change the way you move and sometimes your feet aren't the only place you'll notice it.

It may contribute to discomfort in your:
👟 Feet & ankles
👟 Knees
👟 Hips
👟 Lower back

Take a look at your favourite pair today. Is the tread worn unevenly? Are the soles compressed? Do they feel less supportive than they used to?

And remember: there isn't one "perfect" shoe for everyone. Your activity, comfort, fit, and individual needs all matter.

Concussions are common,but there's still a lot of misinformation about them.

❌ MYTH: "You have to lose consciousness to have a concussion."

✅ FACT: Most people who experience a concussion do not lose consciousness.

A concussion can happen after a blow to the head, neck, or body that causes the brain to move rapidly inside the skull. Symptoms can appear right away or develop over the next several hours or days.

If you suspect a concussion, it's important to stop the activity, seek a medical assessment, and follow appropriate return-to-school, work, or sport recommendations.

When it comes to concussions, early recognition and proper management matter.

Grief can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it by yourself.

Beginning Monday, September 14, Hospice Sussex is offering a free 8-week Group Grief Counselling Program at ARK Health Collective.

This supportive group provides a safe, compassionate space to connect with others who understand the journey of loss, share experiences, and find encouragement along the way.
