This summer I have been reminded how much I love open monitoring meditation 🕉️

Opening up awareness to the senses while in nature is such a delight!

Focusing attention upon the sounds, smells, sights, tastes and feels, it’s such a feast for the senses and my favourite way to drop into the moment during the summer ☀️ season.

Give it a practice… give yourself up to the experience but stay present with it all, even the thoughts. Recognize them, let them go and just BE in nature, in the moment, with all that you’re experiencing.

Even if it’s just for 2 minutes, open up to the beauty, the colors, the warmth, the freshness, the music, the magic of the moment and let me know how it goes 😊✌️

My final retreat of the summer ☀️ with Pictou Island Wooden Tents is all wrapped up for another year.

What a special group of joyful, compassionate, adventurous humans I had the pleasure of spending 5 days with 🥰

There is definitely something magical about this island, but when the right people come together it just takes things to the next level! ✨ ✨✨

I am still riding the waves of gratitude and look forward to my return next year to this incredible place…

I realize I have been quiet on here lately, but… between the Yoga retreats, outdoor projects and simply enjoying the beauty of our backyard I’ve been busy 🤪

Weather depending the next outdoor yoga classes held in this zen space will be on Tuesday, August 25th 6pm and Wednesday the 26th at 9:15am.

These will be the final two classes of the outdoor Summer ☀️ series, so mark your calendar 🗓️

It’s hard to believe the first Retreat Yourself on Pictou Island with Pictou Island Wooden Tents is over already!

It was such a great week of Yoga, sunshine, laughter, crafting, beach days and full moon energy 🌕

Excuse my shortage of photos, we were just having too much fun!

Now for some family time before we head back to the mainland, but luckily not with too much sadness in our hearts because we get to come back and do it one more time in August! 💗
