💜 Yoga Cancer Support Group 💜

The Cape Breton Cancer Centre’s Yoga group will begin on Tuesday, September 8.

This free group will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Whitney Pier Seniors & Pensioners Club, located at 50 Breton Street in Sydney.

Cancer support groups are offered through the Cape Breton Cancer Centre and are free for participants thanks to the generosity of donors of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation.

Today, we’re celebrating 6 years of Paula MacNeil as CEO of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation.

Since stepping into the role on September 1, 2020, Paula has brought compassion, focus, and steady leadership to our Foundation’s work.

Over the past six years, she has helped lead our Foundation through meaningful growth, strong partnerships, and continued efforts to strengthen health care in Cape Breton – Unama’ki.

Paula, THANK YOU for all you do and for the heart you bring to this work every day. We are so grateful for your leadership. 💜

The Cape Breton Ostomy Peer Support Group will meet on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the South Bar Fire Hall in South Bar, NS.

This support group is for those living with an ostomy, those who may be getting an ostomy, and their support person.

💜 THANK YOU, Aubreigh!

Friday marks Aubreigh’s last day as our summer student at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation.

Over the past few months, Aubreigh has been part of the work happening behind the scenes at the Foundation, lending a hand with day-to-day tasks, projects and events throughout the summer.

Aubreigh came to the Foundation already knowing firsthand the impact our community can have through her family’s connection to Caleb's Courage, and we’ve loved having the opportunity to welcome her onto our team this summer.

As she gets ready to begin Grade 12, we want to thank Aubreigh for everything she brought to the Foundation this summer and wish her all the best in the year ahead.

💜 Our new donor mural has been installed at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

This mural is more than a wall of names. It is a reflection of the generosity that continues to strengthen health care in Cape Breton – Unama'ki.

Each name on the wall represents a donor, family, business, or organization that chose to give where they live, because they care. Their generosity helps support patients, families, equipment, programs, and care needs throughout the hospital.

THANK YOU to every donor recognized on this mural, and to everyone who continues to support the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation. Your Kindness is helping strengthen health care, right here at home.
