Happy Father’s Day

Today we honour our fathers, their presence in our lives and their support at times when most needed. We hope today brings moments of peace and harmony to families near and far. To fathers who are no longer with us, our memories of you have had a lasting impact on the person we’ve become; you are thought of fondly.

“Family is not an important thing. It’s everything.”

Grief (2017)
A Movie about a Young Father Grieving the Loss of His Son

In this 2017 indie drama, Kyle Harden mourns the unexpected loss of his son. The pain and suffering he experiences takes away his will to live. Many men grieve in isolation. Society dictates that they remain strong, stoic and that they hide their emotions. Often however, they need the help and support of others.

The film chronicles a day in Kyle’s life where he ponders taking his own life. He is overwhelmed by the emotions he is experiencing and wants his inner dialogue and ‘the voices’ to end.

This is a dark movie and it is suitable for mature audiences only. This film contains graphic language, mature themes and scenes.

Questions… What is the importance of a person’s life and what effect do our actions have on others? When those we love and care about experience pain, getting them the help they need is so important. Carefully listening to them and understanding how their pain is affecting them is often vital to a positive outcome.
