Meet Jan Cronje, MCP Practicum Intern
Jan brings a centred, practical approach shaped by years as a registered counsellor in South Africa, in emergency medical care, and in remote international settings. His work is collaborative and goal-oriented: building on your strengths and finding realistic steps forward.

Jan supports:

Life transitions, immigration and relocation

This weekend can be full of warmth, good food and people we love. It can also bring up missing someone, family tension, or just feeling stretched thin.

Both can be true at the same time. Gratitude and grief can share the same table.

Reaching out isn’t a sign that you’ve failed. It’s a sign that you’re ready for things to feel different.

Mental health is part of everyday health. It affects how we sleep, work, parent, love and get through hard days. You don’t have to wait for a crisis to deserve support.

Today, take one small step for yourself:
Check in with a friend
Get outside for a few minutes
Write down one thing that’s weighing on you
Book the appointment you’ve been putting off

What a beautiful night celebrating the community we’re so gratefully part of at Hilltop Wedding Center.

We were incredibly honoured to have Tides Center for Counselling & Health named as one of three finalists for Small Business of the Year at the Sylvan Lake Business Awards.

A huge congratulations to Meraki Collective- Sylvan Lake on your win, so well deserved! And congratulations to Clearwater Homes and all of this year’s finalists and winners. It was such a great group of local businesses to be celebrated alongside.

We’re growing at Tides, and we’re looking for the right person to grow with us.

We’re hiring a Clinic Operations Manager / Executive Support to help keep the many moving pieces of Tides organized, efficient and running smoothly.

This is more than an admin role. I’m looking for someone who sees what needs to be done, takes initiative, follows things through, and genuinely enjoys creating systems that make life easier for everyone around them.

If you’re highly organized, proactive, warm and professional, with experience in clinic or business operations, I’d love to hear from you.
