Northern Health and First Nations Health Authority are issuing a Drug Advisory for the Northern Health Region. Recent drug samples of white Hydromorphine pills, sold as “Dilaudid” have tested positive for the new synthetic opioid Cychlorphine which can be 10x stronger than Fentanyl. It may require additional doses of naloxone.

Cychlorphine may be present in other unregulated drugs in the Northern region.

Please note: There are no test strips that work to detect Cychlorphine. Fentanyl test strips will not detect Cychlorphine in the hydromorphone pills described in the recent NH/FNHA drug advisory.
