We’re excited to introduce Wyatt, our Biomedical Engineering co-op student who is spending his summer with us as an Additive Manufacturing Intern.

He’ll be working hard to establish and define our digital workflow here at Thunder Bay Orthopaedic.

Oh, and don’t mind the hardhat - he’s only figuratively our “Lil Helper”.

It was a successful launch of the Adaptive Racing category at Thunder Bay’s historic Fire Fighters Ten Mile Road Race! Thanks to all involved - it was a great race and the weather turned out OK! We’ll see you again next year🦽🏃‍♀️

Meet & Greet with Local Paralympian - Keegan Gaunt! 🏃🏻‍♀️

Come out and meet Thunder Bay’s own Canadian Paralympian, Keegan Gaunt, along with other para/adaptive athletes competing in the upcoming Fire Fighters Ten Mile Road Race as part of our new initiative for supportive adaptive athletes.

Please join us in welcoming Keegan Gaunt as a special guest at the Fire Fighters Ten Mile Road Race!

Keegan is a Canadian Paralympic middle-distance runner from Thunder Bay who competes in the 1500m. Diagnosed with Stargardt Disease as a teenager, she has continued to excel at the highest level while navigating progressive vision loss.
She trained with the Lakehead Track and Field Club and Ottawa Lions Track and Field Club before competing for the University of Guelph, where she earned a Bachelor of Commerce in economics and finance. In 2021, she set a Canadian record in the T13 1500m (4:41), made her international debut at the 2023 Santiago Parapan American Games, and went on to represent Team Canada at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, placing ninth in the final.

Keegan will be joining us as part of Thunder Bay Orthopaedics’ Adaptive Racing initiative, helping highlight the power and impact of inclusive sport.

Be sure to come out, show your support, and help us give Keegan a warm welcome!
