There’s no shortage of health advice. If anything, I think most of us have too much of it.

Eat more protein. Balance your blood sugar. Support your gut. Take the supplements. Get more sleep. Manage your stress. Move your body.

None of that is necessarily wrong. But knowing what’s “healthy” and knowing what actually makes sense for you are two very different things.

And this is where I think wellness gets unnecessarily complicated. You can be doing a lot of the “right” things and still feel tired, bloated, frustrated with your skin or unsure of what your body actually needs.

Sometimes the answer isn’t another protocol, stricter routine or list of things to do.

It’s stepping back, connecting the dots and figuring out what actually deserves your attention.

That’s a big part of why I created my 12-week Signature Wellness Program. We look at your nutrition, symptoms, digestion, energy, sleep, stress, movement and everyday habits, then build from there.

Not to give you more health advice to follow.

But to help you understand your body, know what works for you and feel confident in what to come back to long after our time together ends.

My 12-week Signature Wellness Program is currently open for 1:1 clients. If this sounds like the kind of support you’ve been looking for, you can book a complimentary 15-minute Discovery Call through the link in my bio!

Clearer, healthier-looking skin didn’t come from finding one magical product or completely overhauling my routine.

It came from paying attention to the smaller things I was doing consistently — both on my skin and behind the scenes.

And I think that’s an important distinction, because when something is going on with our skin, it’s easy to focus all of our attention on what we’re putting on it. We change products, add another active or look for the next thing that promises to fix the problem.

But your skincare routine is only one piece of the picture.

If you’re trying to understand what your skin needs, look beyond the individual breakout or product. Pay attention to patterns. When are changes showing up? What products are you using regularly? How is your skin barrier doing? What’s happening with your digestion, cycle, stress, sleep and nutrition at the same time?

You don’t need to change everything at once. Sometimes the most useful place to start is simply getting curious about the bigger picture and noticing what your skin may be responding to.

Because what you put on your skin matters — but so does how you support it from within.

The more I learn about health, the less interested I am in doing more.

The wellness world is very good at convincing us there’s always something else we should be adding, buying or optimizing. But more isn’t automatically better, especially when the foundations are being overlooked.

And I think that’s where a lot of people get stuck — searching for the next thing that might make them feel better instead of looking at what’s already happening day to day.

Before adding something new, it might be worth asking: what could I get more consistent with first?

Sometimes doing less, more consistently, is what moves the needle most.

The habits that support your health aren’t always the easiest choice in the moment.

But neither are the consequences of consistently putting them last.

And this is where I think wellness gets unnecessarily complicated. You don’t need to eat perfectly, never miss a workout, be asleep by 9 p.m. every night or turn your health into a full-time job.

I certainly don’t.

Most of the time, I live somewhere around 80/20—and sometimes 70/30. Because what you do consistently matters far more than what you do occasionally.

Build strength. Eat nourishing foods. Prioritize sleep. Make space to slow down. Invest in your health. And leave room for the dinner out, the later night, the missed workout or the day where your routine simply doesn’t happen.

You don’t need to choose perfectly. You just need to choose which direction you want your habits to take you.

Feeling anxious, shaky, crashing, or craving sugar after coffee is not something to ignore.

If you feel:
shaky after coffee
anxious or overstimulated
exhausted by mid-morning
craving sugar later in the day
wired but tired

…it may not just be the caffeine itself.

For some people, drinking coffee on an empty stomach can amplify a stress response in the body, impacting cortisol, blood sugar, energy, cravings, and even skin health.

This is why I rarely recommend looking at coffee in isolation.

Instead of immediately removing it, sometimes the better question is:
what is missing alongside it?

Adding protein, healthy fats, and fibre can help support:
- blood sugar balance
- satiety
- cortisol response
- energy levels

Even something as simple as adding 10–20g of protein alongside or in your coffee can make a noticeable difference in how you feel throughout the morning.

You do not necessarily need to quit coffee.
Your body may just need more support around it.

Save this for the next time your morning coffee leaves you feeling worse instead of better.

If your skin isn’t improving, it usually comes down to two things: what you’re using, and what your skin can actually handle.

Sometimes it is your skincare. Pore-clogging ingredients, layering incorrectly, or overusing actives can lead to breakouts, irritation, and congestion.

But even with good products, there’s another issue I see all the time — your skin barrier isn’t supported.

Here’s how you know:

Your skin feels dry and oily at the same time.
Products start to sting or burn.
You’re breaking out more, even though your routine hasn’t changed.
Nothing seems to be working the way it used to.

That’s not random.

That’s your skin struggling to tolerate what you’re putting on it.

At that point, it’s not about adding more. It’s about pulling back, supporting your barrier, and rebuilding your routine in a way your skin can actually respond to.

That’s when your skin starts to improve.

If you want to understand how to support your skin from the inside out and build a routine that actually works, I break this down inside my free guide — comment “SKIN” and I’ll send it to you.

Here are the supplements I use to support my skin from within.

This is the approach I take when it comes to supporting skin at a foundational level, focusing on nutrient status, inflammation, absorption, and overall cellular function.

These are the ones I come back to and why:

BodyBio PC — This supports the structure and integrity of the cell membrane, which directly impacts how nutrients enter the cell and how waste is removed. This influences detoxification, hormone metabolism, and overall cellular communication, all of which play a role in skin health.

Balance Oil — This provides a clinically balanced ratio of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, including alpha-linolenic acid and linoleic acid. Linoleic acid is essential for ceramide production and maintaining the skin’s lipid barrier, while omega-3s help regulate inflammation and support skin repair.

Liposomal Vitamin C — This provides antioxidant support and plays a key role in collagen synthesis. It also supports the body’s ability to manage oxidative stress, which is closely tied to skin health.

GOODSEEDS — This is formulated with acne-prone skin in mind, using targeted nutrients to support the skin while also addressing internal factors that can contribute to breakouts.

Daily Basics — This provides essential micronutrients including vitamins A, D, E, and K, along with selenium, taurine, and inositol. These support cell membrane integrity, nutrient transport, and overall cellular function.

Daily Protein — This is a hydrolyzed beef protein, meaning it has been broken down for easier digestion and absorption. It is not whey-based, which matters because whey is a form of protein that can contribute to breakouts in some individuals, particularly those who are sensitive to dairy. It also avoids added sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. Protein provides the amino acids needed for repair, collagen structure, and overall skin integrity.

Be Happy B’s — This provides key B vitamins, including B6, which supports hormone balance, inflammatory regulation, and skin barrier function. This can be especially relevant for breakouts that show up along the chin and jawline.

This isn’t about taking everything at onc

Your skin is not just surface level 🤍

If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing everything right — using better products, being more mindful of what you’re eating, trying to take care of yourself — and your skin still isn’t responding the way you expected, you’re not alone.

This is something I see often, and it’s exactly why I created this guide.

Your skin is a reflection of what’s happening internally. How your body is digesting and absorbing nutrients, how your blood sugar is being regulated, how your body is responding to stress, and how well your foundational habits are supporting you all play a role.

When those pieces aren’t in place, your skin will often be one of the first places it shows up.

This guide is here to help you start looking at your skin differently. Not as something to fix, but as something your body is communicating with you.

Inside, I walk through the foundations I focus on with my clients and where to start in a way that actually feels realistic and supportive.
