🩺🦷 WHY DO WE CHECK YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE AT THE DENTIST?
At Dabuleanu Dental- Your Dentist in North York-your health and safety are just as important as your smile! ❤️
You might wonder why we check your blood pressure before dental treatment. Here’s why it matters:
🩺 1. High blood pressure often has NO symptoms.
Hypertension can go unnoticed for years, which is why regular blood pressure checks are so important—even if you feel perfectly fine.
🦷 2. Your overall health affects your dental care.
High blood pressure can influence how we plan your treatment, which medications we use, and what precautions may be necessary to help keep you safe.
❤️ 3. Early detection matters.
If we notice an elevated reading, we may repeat the measurement and recommend follow-up with your physician or other healthcare provider. A single high reading does not automatically mean you have hypertension, but it should never be ignored.
⚠️ 4. Sometimes, dental treatment may need to wait.
If your blood pressure is significantly elevated, we may postpone non-urgent dental treatment until you have been medically assessed and it is safe to proceed. This helps reduce potential risks during your visit.
💙 5. Your safety always comes first.
Checking your blood pressure is a simple step that helps us make informed decisions about your care. We want you to feel confident knowing that we’re looking after more than just your teeth.
✨ A healthy smile starts with a healthy you! Don’t skip your regular medical checkups, take prescribed medications as directed, and let your dental team know about any medical conditions or medications.
📍 At Dabuleanu Dental, we care about the whole person—not just the smile.
