May is Mental Health Awareness Month 🧠

A regulated nervous system allows us to feel safe, grounded, and in control. For children, it allows them to engage with loved ones, play freely, and focus on things that are important to them.

To learn about how we support children at PPA with nervous system regulation, stay tuned for part 2!

Today we send a big thank you to Roula, our amazing intake coordinator! 📱💻

Roula is the first person you will talk to or email when you are looking for therapy services. She works hard to triage new clients to the appropriate therapist, always striving for the best fit to meet your therapy goals.

In her spare time you may find Roula running, cycling or playing ball hockey 🏒

♾️🌈 World Autism Acceptance Day 🌈♾️

Today—and every day—we celebrate the incredible strengths, perspectives, and individuality of autistic children and their families.

At PPA, we have the privilege of supporting children as they explore new skills, build confidence, and express who they are in ways that feel authentic and empowering.

What we honour today:
✨Unique sensory experiences
✨Creative problem‑solving
✨Passionate interests
✨Beautiful communication in all its forms
✨Families who advocate with love and determination

As paediatric therapists, our role is to meet each child where they are, celebrate their strengths, and help them navigate their world with tools that support comfort, connection, and independence.

Every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued ♥️💛
