One of the rehab goals most people don’t expect 👀
A lot of people think recovery means protecting an area forever, but in reality, the body often does better when you gradually rebuild what it can handle.
• Recovery isn’t about permanent protection
The aim is usually to help the body adapt again, not avoid load indefinitely.
• Capacity is the key concept
It’s your body’s ability to tolerate things like walking, running, lifting, sports, and everyday movement.
• Avoiding stress for too long can be limiting
If the body isn’t exposed to enough challenge, it may not regain confidence with those movements.
• The right amount of load matters
Rehab is often about finding that middle ground where the body is challenged, but not overwhelmed.
• The goal is confidence, not restriction
Instead of shrinking what you do around pain, rehab focuses on slowly expanding what your body can handle.
Sometimes recovery is less about “doing less” and more about building back up in a smart, guided way. 💪
