When all the support and tips and tricks and gratitude and meditations and selfcare are ringing hollow maybe all we can do is acknowledge that sometimes this sucks 😕

It’s ok to sit there for a moment
Because we know we won’t stay there for long
We are too strong for that 💪

We know we will pick ourselves up and get back to it
But maybe for a moment we just need to state things as they are and not as we wish they were

Because THAT is part of the process of transformation 💞

❣️ Are You Feeling This? ❣️

❣️ TRUST the process ❣️

In my signature Calm Living Framework, I have left room for the messy parts of transformation 💜

💜 For the days where you don’t have the time, energy or resolve to “do” it “right”
💜 For the days where you just need to sit with the problem or be mad or sad before you are ready to begin again.
💜 For the moments where you are like “meh” I don’t want to do any of it right now

It’s all good and none of that is unexpected

🙌 When we work together, not only will I help you with those immediate-in-the-moment anxiety symptoms,
🙌 I will also help you with the parts of you that have been worn down and affected by years of feeling this way.
🙌 I will help you get to the root of how you’re feeling - compassionately and without judgement.

So let’s do this - head to my bio for the link to book a complementary discovery call. I’m ready when you are...

2021!!! 2020 threw us a huge curveball, didn't it?
I'm not even going to pretend I know what 2021 is going to be like. All I know is HOW we choose to handle what comes our way is what determines what our year will be like. And HOW we choose to handle what comes our way is ultimately determined by our mental chatter
So...are you starting this year off with a Negative Narrative or Empowering Editorial?
If your mental chatter and self talk is something you have resolved to improve - then you're in the right place! Check out my website (link in bio) for all the ways we can work together. Not sure IF we should work together? DM me (just a simple "hey how can you help me" is great!) and I'll be in touch!

Are you typically a "party-on-New Year's Eve" kind of person or someone who likes to call in the New Year quietly at home, cuddled up with your favourite beverage and movie/book?
Whatever your choice is, I wish you a beautiful evening

Sometimes people walk into this period before New Year really excited to reset their intentions and goals. Others walk into this period with a sense of dread and guilt because of the story they are telling themselves about how this year went
No matter what happened - be VERY proud of what you've accomplished and done this year. It wasn't an easy year for anyone. So pat yourself on the back. You deserve it.

Ahhh...the calm after the storm. Does anyone else feel that way in between Christmas and New Year's?
To me, this is the perfect time to recover from the last several hectic days (weeks?). Nothing helps calm me down like a warm beverage and just taking in some quiet moments
How about you? What do you do between Christmas and New Year's?

Anxiety can creep up during this time, and if you find yourself stressing, feeling anxious and overwhelmed and you're ruminating so much you have a hard time calming down, here are some things to consider trying:

1) acknowledge your feelings - it's ok, whatever you're feeling

2) reach out - someone understands what you're going through. Venting is normal and a reasonable part of the process

3) be realistic - holidays, especially this one, will not be like before and certainly don't have to be perfect. Find new ways to celebrate and connect

4) take a pause - despite best of intentions, sometimes family and friends disappoint, aggravate or even say things hurt us. Remember, it's always your choice when to approach this person for a discussion - it could be right then and there or it could be another time. You get to decide.

5) budget - you can't buy happiness, forgiveness or love. Decide how much money you can spend and stick to it.

6) plan - set aside time for getting/making gifts, wrapping, cooking/baking, connecting with others and MOST IMPORTANTLY - down time and rest for yourself. Plan your menus, make your shopping lists. That helps prevent scrambling to get any last minute stuff

7) learn to say no - often times saying yes when you mean no can leave you feeling resentful and overwhelmed. You cannot expect yourself to participate fully in every project or activity that all your family members, friends and colleagues may be trying to invite you to

8) don't forget your healthy habits - these are often the first to go when we get busy but it's the most important thing to stick to. Overindulgence and lack of self-care can increase feelings of stress, anxiousness and guilt

9) Rest - make time for yourself. Take a breather. Even half a day can help you feel more rejuvenated and ready to handle everything else you need to do

10) Seek professional help if needed - despite your best efforts, you may feel your stress and anxiety hit a point where you are no longer enjoying your time off and dreading the upcoming holidays. Reach out and book an appointment so you are equipped with the best tools for the holiday season

It's Christmas Eve. Christmas time can get super busy and hectic. Sometimes in the midst of present buying and wrapping, prepping for meals we can forget what this time is all about - connection
Community and connection are the biggest, most valuable gifts you can gift someone. Nothing can replace those
Thank you for being my community and my connection
Sending you all warm holiday (virtual) hugs

Who loves a good cozy cup of hot chocolate? There's something about the winter season that just says cozy up with a cup of hot something.
My fav hot chocolate recipe:
-1 cup of oat milk
-1 tbsp of cacao powder
-1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
-pinch of sea salt
-sweetener of your choice, add to taste
-optional: dairy-free whip cream and chocolate shavings
Add all ingredients to saucepan over high heat, using a whisk to break up any clumps. Keep stirring until smooth and piping hot, then pour into a mug and serve warm
Share your fav recipe with me!
