We see you race season πŸ‘€ πŸ…πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ !

T’is the season of pre-race tune ups and run gait assessments for running - related pain.

Looking for a tune up or assessment yourself? See link in bio to book.

Note: If a running gait analysis peaks your interest, it’s best to be about 8 weeks out from race day for running gait changes.

Bananas are chillier than they appear 🍌 πŸ₯Ά.

Congratulations again to all the TCS finishers last weekend πŸŽ‰ . I jokingly told my patients to look out for the smallest banana… and they understood the assignment! I had a lot more spottings this year 😁. Also had a few runners stop to snap selfies with yours truly πŸ“Έ πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈ.

In all seriousness, if you raced, now is the time for some well-deserved R & R as you return back to mental and physical baseline 🧘 😌 . Pat yourself on the back, reflect on how you did, learn, and grow into that next goal ✨ .

You may have seen us at 800m Night last week πŸ‘€. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat or for treatment!

Couldn’t help but reminisce on my old track days. The 800 was my favourite distance then πŸ₯Ή. Pulled out some old photos to take a trip down memory lane. Nothing like being on a rubber track again!

Congratulations to all the finishers of the πŸŽ‰ πŸ‘ . It’s always a pleasure to not only support runners pre-race, but also hear their racing stories post.

Here’s a to 2015 where I was in the midst of the then GoodLife Toronto Marathon swipe ➑️ to this past Sunday where I played cheerleader to my brother instead of racing πŸ“£.

Been limited by my own injury this year, so not on the racing scene as much as I’d have liked. But just like I tell my patients, we can only get stronger from here πŸ’ͺ.

Remembering the days of starting up and leading the run club at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. I wanted to create a hub where CMCC students could learn from chiropractors who treat runners and learn to run themselves.

Looking forward to being back at the school to share some clinical pearls next week!

✨ T’is the season for GOALS ✨.

Runners, a lot of you are in-between seasons, thinking about what races to do in the Spring. This is your opportunity to reflect on your races, your injury history, and your aspirations.

What can you do to prep for next race season?

1. Identify what you want to ACHIEVE - is it a new pb? Finish the next season injury-free? Cross the finish line of a new race distance?

2. Is this goal following SMART principles:
S- specific
M- measurable
A - achievable
R- realistic
T - time bound

3. Know what you need to accomplish this: do you need a coach? A strength plan? Understanding the why behind recurrent injuries?

4. Build the steps to accomplish your goal: who do you need to meet with? When will you start training? How much time do you need or have to do this?

After the above, are unsure how to identify what’s the culprit for your injury history, or what can help you accomplish your goals for 2025? See link in bio to book!

TCS 5 km βœ….

Great vibes as always at . Was lovely see some familiar faces today! Was on pace at 3:50/km but went over on my ankle at just after the 2 km mark and fell off πŸ˜…πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈ. Looks like I’ll be in ankle rehab mode now 🦢. Was so happy to race again with my good friend and fellow U of T Varsity Blues track & XC alumnus.
