Open doors create stronger communities.

Last year, S&R Group used to highlight the people and programs who are part of their community and welcomed partners and local leaders into their home.

For the third annual LTC Community Engagement Day, we’re inviting more homes to take part and strengthen connections in their communities.

Congratulations to member Crown Ridge Health Care Services Inc. on their official ribbon cutting ceremony at Westgate Lodge today.

You can truly see the beautiful future of long-term care in this home. Every space reflects the care, teamwork and purpose that went into its design and build, and it was a privilege to celebrate this milestone with Greg Freeman, his family and team, MPP Tyler Allsopp and City of Belleville | Municipal Government Mayor Neil Ellis.

Congratulations to everyone at Westgate Lodge on this beautiful new chapter.

Long-term care homes support more than seniors. They strengthen local economies, create jobs and help communities thrive.

In Ailsa Craig, the redevelopment of Craigwiel Gardens is adding 13 new and 83 modernized long-term care spaces. It is also generating $51.8 million in GDP and $36.2 million in labour income through local construction and jobs.

For rural Ontario, building long-term care also means better access to care close to home and real economic impact that supports local workers, families and businesses.

Congratulations to Minister for Long-Term Care Natalia Kusendova-Bashta on her expanded role as Minister of Francophone Affairs.

We have appreciated your significant support for culturally appropriate care, and know this perspective will continue to serve Ontarians well in your expanded ministerial role.

This appointment reflects what long-term care knows: culture is foundational to dignity and belonging. Language, tradition, and identity are core to how people age well.

We wish you every success in your expanded role.
