A little sweet, savoury + crunchy for your fall table.

This month, Alex Mantle, Registered Nutritionist is sharing her Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Pomegranate + Hazelnuts... colourful, seasonal and easy enough for a weeknight, but pretty enough to bring to a fall dinner.

Here’s how to make them:
🍁Preheat your oven to 375°F.
🍁Add the halved Brussels sprouts to a medium roasting pan, toss with olive oil and season with salt + pepper.
🍁Roast until lightly golden brown and tender when pierced with a knife, about 45 minutes.
🍁Transfer to a large bowl and toss with the pomegranate seeds, toasted hazelnuts, lime zest + orange zest.
🍁Taste and season with additional salt as needed.

Serves 6.

Save this one for your next cozy fall dinner. 🤍

And if you’re looking for a little more support with nutrition this season, Alex offers complimentary meet + greets at Bloom: A chance to chat about your goals, ask questions and see if nutrition counselling is the right fit for you.

4 Simple Pre-Run Exercises with Dr. Kaileigh Mapson | Chiropractor

Your run starts before you start running. 🏃‍♀️

A good warm-up doesn’t need to be long or complicated. The goal is to get your body moving and prepare the muscles and joints you’re about to use before you head out.

Try adding these to your pre-run routine:
→ Forward + back leg swings
A dynamic way to get the hips moving through flexion and extension before running.
→ Side-to-side leg swings
Helps warm up the hips in a different plane of movement and gets your legs moving laterally.
→ Banded leg taps
Adds a little resistance to wake up the muscles around the hips and prepare them for movement.
→ Banded side taps
A simple way to activate the lateral hip muscles before you start logging kilometres.

💡And remember: your pre- and post-run routines matter, too. A dynamic warm-up before your run can help prepare your body for movement, while your post-run routine can focus more on cooling down and the mobility work that feels good for your body.

If running consistently leaves you dealing with pain, tightness or an issue that keeps coming back, it may be worth having your movement assessed rather than simply running through it.

Dr. Kaileigh Mapson works with runners and athletes at Bloom to help keep you moving toward your goals. 🤍

Ever wonder what an osteopathic appointment actually helps with? 🤍

Osteopathy takes a whole-body approach... looking at how different areas of your body move and function together, rather than focusing only on the spot that’s bothering you.

Through assessment and gentle, hands-on techniques, your Osteopathic Practitioner can work with areas of muscle and joint tension, mobility and movement based on what your body needs.

Because sometimes the place you feel discomfort isn’t the only place worth looking at.

Curious about osteopathy? Book an appointment with Erica at Bloom today.

Sometimes the smallest points can be part of a much bigger treatment plan. ✨

Acupuncture uses carefully selected points throughout the body (including the hands) based on what your practitioner is working to address.

Depending on your individual needs, acupuncture may be used to support things like:
• Muscle tension + pain
• Headaches
• Stress + nervous system regulation
• Digestion
• Menstrual + hormonal concerns
• Pregnancy + fertility support

And no, the needles aren’t limited to the area where you’re experiencing symptoms. Your practitioner chooses points based on your full assessment and treatment goals.
