This week is Mental Illness Awareness Week. Complex mental illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and severe depression affect hundreds of thousands of Canadians and their families. Most wait months for care, often with no one to guide them through a diagnosis.
That's the gap IAM exists to close, with free counselling, system navigation and plain-language resources for people and the families who support them.

Every one of these services is free because donors like you make them free: https://iamentalhealth.ca/donate

September is Recovery Month in Canada, a time to celebrate the people who are living proof that recovery happens, and to recommit to the supports that make it possible. Our programs help make that possible: Pathways, RIA in Action, Strengthening Families Together, and our Medication and Educational Resource Centres.

You can be part of someone's first step. Donate through the link in bio.

September is Su***de Prevention Month. Knowing what to say can save a life. This month, the whole world is talking about it. Let's keep talking.

People living with complex mental illnesses face a higher risk, and they're too often left out of this conversation. At IAM, they're at the centre of it.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available. Call IAM's free counselling line 1-855-449-9949
