This week, I had the privilege of taking a group of incredible moms who have lost their sons to gun violence on a healing retreat to Niagara Falls. We left on Monday and returned on Wednesday.
Although one of the days was filled with rain and we couldn't do everything we had planned, it gave us the opportunity to slow down, rest, and simply be there for one another. We shared meals, went for walks when we could, and ended our time together with dinner tonight. The love, strength, and support everyone showed each other made this trip truly meaningful.
Healing doesn't always happen through busy schedules or perfect weather. Sometimes it happens in quiet moments, shared conversations, and knowing you're not alone.
I'm grateful to have shared this experience with these amazing women. Thank you to everyone who helped make this healing trip possible. ❤️🕊️

A few moments from our evening in Niagara Falls. ❤️
Tonight, I had the honor of taking one of the 9 moms in our group who have lost a son to gun violence on a little getaway. We checked into a hotel, enjoyed a wonderful dinner, and simply took time to relax.
The rain was heavy, so we didn't get to do many activities, but that didn't matter. Sometimes, the greatest gift is having a chance to step away, share a meal, talk, laugh, and find a little peace together.
This journey is for all 9 moms who carry unimaginable grief every day. My hope is to create moments of comfort, connection, and healing—one mom at a time.
Please keep these incredible mothers, and all families affected by violence, in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️🕊️🙏

Last Tuesday, I had the privilege of organizing a Victim Services information session in partnership with our community organizations.
A heartfelt thank you to our two amazing presenters. Your knowledge, professionalism, and compassionate approach made the session both informative and inspiring. Everyone who attended learned so much from your presentation.

A special thank you to Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) for sponsoring the space and providing food, RIRC and to Mothers of Peace and the Centre of Learning and Development for partnering with us to make this event possible.

It was wonderful to see our community come together to learn about the important supports and resources available through Victim Services. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event a success. Together, we are building a stronger, safer, and more informed community. 💙

Yesterday, over 50 community members came together for a workshop focused on holding space for one another after trauma and su***de loss in our community. We shared dinner, heard from incredible speakers and mental health professionals, and created a safe space for open and honest conversation. Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared, listened, and supported one another. Together, we continue to strengthen our community through connection, compassion, and healing. ❤️
