Spotted in the wild - this cute little flower is YARROW (achillea millefolium), which is also the herb in our logo!
🌿The term millefolium means “thousand leaves” which makes this plant easily distinguishable. It was one of our first love because it has SO many properties and it kind of does a bit of everything!
❤️🩹Historically, yarrow was also known as the soldier’s herb because the fresh plant can be used topically to stop bleeding and improve wound healing. Indigenous populations also use it topically for bruises and strains, as well as a tea to treat fevers and colds.
🌿 In western herbal medicine, yarrow can be used for digestive complaints, cramps, upper respiratory tract infections, fever, ulcers, gastritis, UTI, hepatic congestion, high blood pressure, and more.
❤️🩹Energetically, it heals broken individuals and keeps them from ‘fracturing’.
👀 Next time you take a stroll in the city, see if you can identify these beautiful flowers - just look for the cluster of little white flowers and fern-like leaves of thousand!
