More than 300,000 visitors are expected in Toronto as the city hosts six FIFA World Cup matches at BMO Field from June 12 to July 2.

Officials are urging residents to plan ahead as major crowds, road closures, and transit changes roll out across the city. Liberty Village, Exhibition Place, Fort York, The Bentway Fan Festival, Lake Shore Boulevard West, Strachan Avenue, Dufferin Street, and Fleet Street are expected to see the biggest impacts.

Road closures around the stadium will begin about five hours before kickoff and remain in place for up to three hours after each match ends.

Toronto’s six-match schedule is expected to bring heavy foot traffic, increased demand on transit, and major delays around the waterfront and west-end corridors.
