I’m going to say what most trainers won’t…

Crunches alone are NOT going to flatten your stomach.

You can do:
100 sit-ups
Endless core workouts
Ab challenges every day
…and still have belly fat.

Why?

Because belly fat isn’t a core problem…

It’s a hormone + stress problem.

Even though core exercises do help tighten and tone your abs…if you have hormone imbalances, inflammation and chronic stress, your body will continue to be in fat storage mode and you won’t see the results you want.

When your cortisol is high:
➡️ Your body stores fat in your midsection
➡️ Your metabolism slows down
➡️ Your body holds on for dear life

So doing MORE crunches and excessively training or doing intense cardio for hours = more stress = worse results.

Yeah… I said it.

What actually works:
🔥 Full body resistance training (to boost metabolism)
🔥 Lowering stress (this is HUGE)
🔥 Eating enough (not starving yourself)

That’s how you change your body.

Not punishment workouts.

Most of the women I talk to are not beginners.

You know you should:
✔️ eat better
✔️ move your body
✔️ be consistent
✔️Get better sleep
✔️Drink more water

But nothing is changing.

And it’s frustrating… because it makes you feel like the problem is YOU.

It’s not.

Knowing what to do is not the same as having a plan that fits your real life.

Because here’s what’s actually happening:
You’re exhausted
Your schedule is full
Your energy isn’t consistent
Your body doesn’t respond like it used to

So the plan keeps falling apart.

The problem isn’t knowledge.

It’s that your approach isn’t built for your life right now. And what used to work in your 20’s and even early thirties isn’t working in the stage or season of life you’re in.

You see, as we get older and our bodies change, we have to adjust what we are doing to support our metabolism and hormones, and to manage stress, in order to feel good in our bodies, have long lasting energy and get the results we want.

This is why it’s important to know what type of exercise is best for you, knowing what to eat macro portions are right for you because depending on where you’re starting from, and what body type you have, health conditions, hormonal imbalances and the how slow or fast your metabolism is, what works for others may not be working for you and in order to see the results you want, you will need something that is specific to you, your body and season of life you’re in.

Doing things to support your metabolism and hormones, like resistance training throughout the week, walking, doing mindful movement and dialing in your macros so your body thrives, is necessary as we get older and really at any stage of life.
