The job doesn't end when the shift does.

The things you've lived through, experienced, or witnessed can stick with you a lot longer than that.

Holding on to these experiences and staying in that state of hypervigilance and high-stakes emotion has lasting effects, not only on you but on the people around you.

Running into a burning building requires courage and we commend you for that.

Asking for help and admitting that you're not okay takes courage as well.

That's why we have specialized therapists who know how to work with first responders. All you have to do is reach out and we will match you to the therapist that makes the most sense for your situation.

We provide a safe place to work through what you're going through, allowing you to reach your goals and the outcome that you desire with a clear path forward at all times.

Comment or message us the word STRONG and we'll send you the details.

What if the constant sleep disruption, hypervigilance, pain, mood changes, cognitive issues and difficulty switching off actually had a name?

For many veterans, it does: Operator Syndrome.

This can show up after years of high operational stress. But it doesn't have to be your new identity.

Imagine meeting someone who is specialized in exactly what you're going through, and gives you a judgement free space to talk about what you've lived through.

You could finally talk about what's happening inside your mind, and maybe find healing so that you can take that uniform off. Not physically this time, but psychologically.

Comment or message us with the word STRONG and we will find you a therapist - free of charge - who can help you with what you're dealing with.

They see the fire truck leaving or the firefighters putting out the fire.
They hear the sirens as you race down the street towards the emergency.

But what they don't see is the anxiety that it leaves you with at night.
The insomnia that makes sleeping nearly impossible.
The burnout that creeps in; the weight of this job builds up long before anyone notices.

No one prepared you for this, and now you don't know where to begin to find your way back.

The great news is that we can support you with therapists who are specifically trained to be familiar with what you're going through, what you're feeling, and who can help you begin to sort out what's going on inside your head.

Comment or message us the word STRONG, and we will send you the information you need to get started.

Not every sneeze is a cold. It is, however, a signal. When you have a cold, you may report that you have been sneezing, and sometimes the virus is the real story.

Most people go to therapy with a symptom list.

They're experiencing anxiety, depression, or stress, and sometimes treating the symptoms helps.

But understanding the cause underneath changes everything long-term. That's the goal of SolutionFirst Therapy: to get to the core problem and help you move forward from it.

Message us for details.

Summer's coming to an end, and you're already tired before fall even begins. 😭

You took time off this summer, so why are you still so tired?

A lot of people get rest and recovery mixed up. They are not the same thing. Your vacation may not have been rest.

Sure, you had time off, but that's not the same thing as recharging.

If you're finding yourself tired despite having a summer vacation, this video may be for you.

"You don't have to have the perfect words. You just have to say something".

Maybe it's your spouse, your child who's been discharged, or maybe it's a buddy from your unit.

He keeps saying that he's fine, but you can tell that he's not.

Most people watching someone struggle are afraid of saying the wrong thing... but showing up for the people you love and saying something, even if it's simply reassurance that you're there with them, can make a world of difference.

Their mission ended, but their nervous system did not, and it's time that they get a break from being on high alert every moment of every day. Start the conversation to help those struggling find the support they so desperately need.

Benefits are one of those things that most working individuals have, but they're one of the most overlooked parts of your total compensation.

If you're like a large percentage of these people, you're not utilizing your benefits as well as you can.

Realistically, coverage plans renew annually with a maximum, and for many, unused amounts do not carry over.

Whether you use your coverage or not, it's always important to know what's available. Who knows, maybe it's something you're currently paying out of pocket for, and you had no idea.

We factor our clients' coverage and budget in from the beginning so you end up with a fit that works long-term.

Send this to someone who may not know how their coverage works - or what they're potentially missing out on!

Dolly Parton died today, and a lot of people are feeling something they can't quite explain. Maybe it feels silly to grieve someone you never met. It isn't.

We grieve the people who were part of our lives, even from a distance. The song that got you through a hard year. The voice in the kitchen on a Sunday morning. The version of yourself who first heard it. When they go, a piece of your own history goes quiet too.

Grief researchers have a name for this kind of loss: the kind that doesn't come with time off work, a casserole, or anyone asking how you're holding up. That silence can make you doubt your own feelings.

You don't have to justify it. If something in you shifted today, that's worth paying attention to.

Dolly once shared how she carries the people she's lost:

"Take their energy that they had given you then, and just kind of recycle that, and let that become a part of you."

That's not a bad place to start. What did she give you? Hold onto that. 🩵

"He said he was fine... but he's been saying he's been fine for eleven years."

Some things don't show up in a medical chart. They show up at the dinner table. The tense shoulders as the kids speak too loudly or the sudden frustration boiling over when a glass is spilled.

This is not who they used to be. This is not who they are. This is a warning sign.

If someone you love runs towards the emergency, this one may be for you.

If you're watching someone you love white-knuckle their way through dealing with the aftereffects of their shift and watch them bring home their work and not be able to escape it, it might be time to seek help.

Let's start the conversation about supporting our first responders and veterans.

Where they're at. With the treatments they need. With the therapists who are the best fit for them.
