What goes into an FUE hair transplant?

FUE, or Follicular Unit Extraction, involves harvesting individual follicular units from the donor area and transplanting them into targeted areas of the scalp.

This patient underwent a hair transplant with Dr. Asaria Jamil Asaria , using 1,800 grafts to improve hair coverage.

Graft placement, hair direction, and the relationship between existing and transplanted hair all contribute to the final appearance result.

Neck lifts are often suitable for younger patients. Lack of definition and contour in the neck aren’t always associated with age-related changes.

Many youthful patients have anatomical reasons which contribute to fullness under the jawline. Excess deep fat, platysma muscle weakness, submandibular gland size and position, and digastric muscle bulk can all impact the shape of the neck.

A structural deep neck lift addresses all these structures with the goals of improving jawline definition and the angle between the mandible and neck.

One Frequently Asked Question that we get is: Do I need a neck lift or a facelift?

In general, sagginess in the neck including loose skin, neck bands, and lack of definition is best treated by a combined facelift and neck lift.

In reality, they are components of the same procedure—not two separate surgeries. The majority of the looseness that we see comes from a vertical drop which is why supporting the cheek and lower face area in combination with tightening the neck is the preferred approach. Simply trying to pull on the neck skin alone usually doesn’t work.
