This is the future of facial plastic surgery. I am honoured and proud to have the opportunity to train these three exceptional surgeons in the art and science of facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Rui Han Liu , Manuela von Sneidern , and Sumun are three of the most accomplished surgeons on the planet. Harvard, Yale, Johns Hopkins, NYU, Penn…it doesn’t just happen by chance. It takes a consistent, deliberate dedication to excellence. Years of sacrifice. Commitment to not just being great, but being exceptional.
Teaching and mentoring means a great deal to me. It’s not just about how to do the best possible surgeries for our patients—that’s a given. It’s about how to care, how to listen, how to understand, and how to lead. To be confident, but not arrogant. To direct with confidence, but not to push. It’s just as much about NOT doing something as it is doing something. And beyond that, it’s about how to build a team. How to nurture and appreciate talent in those around you. How to be a good person, a good partner or spouse, a good parent, and a good human. All of this is what fellowship is about. Being able to train individuals like Dr. Liu, Dr. von Sneidern, and Dr. Khetpal is the ultimate inspiration!
