Gait is one of the most challenging assessments.

It’s also one of the most effective ways to see how the body is able to move and how it can’t.

If you want to learn how to use this powerful assessment tool, learn the compensations and exercises to address them, then comment “Gait” below to get access to my Gait Assessment Course⤵️

Ever notice your clients having a bunion on the side or above their big toe joint (MTP)?

In my experience, many believe that it comes from old age, genetics and the likes.

Rarely do people appreciate how an inability to move in specific areas can translate to overloading certain areas…

If you want to learn how compensations like these impact movements like gait, then check out my brand new Gait Assessment Course!

Most people try to do a bunch of pronation drills to improve a high arch.

The problem with this and the reason why a lot of clients I work with don’t get great results is because they’re not addressing what’s actually happening.

If you want to see a full Tutorial on this, comment “Arch”⤵️

Have you ever noticed people hiking their hips while walking?

Especially during midstance where the body is loaded over the foot?

This is one of the reasons why!

If you want to learn about more compensations like these, why they happen and what to do about it, then check out my brand new Gait Assessment Course💪🏻

One of the biggest reasons why I like using Gait in my assessment process is that it gives us a visual on how the entire body moves.

If I didn’t have much time to assess, I would use gait.

If you want to learn how to break down gait similar to this and know how to address these common compensations…

Then comment “Gait” below⤵️

One of the most common things I see during gait and any other lower body movement when they’re trying to push away from the ground is extending the knee.

You see this during gait when someone pushes off but even as they are loading that leg.

The key is to extend the hip without moving the knee.

Another way of saying it is extend the hip around the knee.

If you want to learn how to pick this up in an assessment like a Gait Analysis then comment “Gait” below to get 40% off of my brand new Gait Assessment Course for a limited time⏰
