CELLULAR MEDICINE ASSOCIATION (CMA) 10YR ANNIVERSARY!!!

10yrs ago today I began a 2 day training course in Fairhope, Alabama where I was taught the fundamentals of PRP treatment for aesthetics and sexual health. I became Ontario’s First CMA Provider trained by Charles Runels.

This training course was a huge career defining moment. I became certified to perform these trademarked/registered “Vampire” procedures aptly named since blood is the key ingredient for youthfulness in appearance and function.

These treatments have been the cornerstone of my practice:

CaHA-HA HYBRID SUBDERMAL FACE WASH

Our model was essentially perfect. She had recent aesthetic work done. She did not require facial balancing or structural support. So what can we offer a patient who already has everything aesthetically… more collagen, elastin, and hydration!!!

Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) is a high G‘ filler which makes it ideal for contouring and structural support. In addition, CaHA is a potent biostimulator capable of improving production of Collagen Types 1 & 3 along with Elastin.

Diluting CaHA is a well published and established practice with a high safety profile. Diluting CaHA negates its filling capability but retains its biostimulatory effect which makes it ideal for skin quality improvement without filling.

Blending Hyaluronic Acid (HA) with CaHA is similar to dilute CaHA with the added benefit of hydration and plumping due to the properties of HA.

I performed a CaHA-HA hybrid face wash using a cannula just beneath the dermis. I used the lateral zygoma as an access point for the mid-face and temples. Although not particularly volumizing, our model still has benefitted from improved structural support in her lateral cheeks with mild volume restoration in her temples. There is procedure-related swelling present. This should subside over the next few days. After 3-4 months, an improvement in skin quality should be apparent.
