Living with arthritis can mean facing challenges that go beyond managing symptoms.

For John, whose experience with arthritis has been shaped by his q***r East Asian identities, that meant learning how to have conversations about privacy, mental health, and sexual health.

Now in control of his disease, John recognizes that his intersecting identities offer him a unique perspective on life with arthritis, fueling his desire to advocate for more inclusive, culturally sensitive care.

When healthcare providers understand the unique challenges faced by BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ patients, they can deliver patient-centered care that meets people where they are.

What happens when we get the whole team together?

💡Great conversations.
💭 New ideas.
⚾ Blue Jays cheers.
🤣 Second City laughs.
🫶 Countless moments of connection.

For the first time in three years, staff from across Canada came together to reconnect, learn, and strengthen the relationships that power our work every day.

We're heading home with full hearts, lasting memories, and renewed energy for the work ahead.

Thank you to everyone who made it possible. 💙

Every year, 10,500 babies in Canada are born with Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH).

When hip dysplasia is not diagnosed early, it can lead to severe osteoarthritis.

New AI-powered ultrasound technology is helping detect hip dysplasia earlier — preventing irreversible joint damage and lifelong mobility challenges.

This International Hip Dysplasia Awareness Month help raise awareness and support the technology improving early detection across Canada.

Together, we can stop arthritis before it begins.
