“Sometimes the universe has other plans”.
I am not going to lie, the past two weeks have challenged me on so many levels.
Physical injuries are never just physical - they are emotional, mental, energic, and spiritual too.
But what I have come to terms with the past few days, is the importance of minding my mind.
While it is quite easy to focus on what is missing from my life right now - yoga, cold dipping, nature walks, freedom to roam about, flexibility, independence, spontaneity...the list is quite long.
What is equally true, is that there are so many things newly available to me, when I shift my attention and refocus my mind.
The daily invitation to slow down, to be in my own company in the comfort of my own home. The simple pleasures of small things: warm drinks, reading in the middle of the day, jiggle saw puzzle paradise. Kindness, support, and love, from family and friends. My body’s ability to heal, my mind’s ability to listen and my heart’s ability to attune. My ambient music and time for daily meditation. The sweet sparrows who visit me daily on the balcony out my bedroom window. Lulu who follows me from room to room, to be as close as she possibly can. ✨There are always blessings. ✨
I am ready to let go of the darkness and lean into the light again. Onward and upward. One day at a time. Where the mind goes, energy flows. ❤️✨🙏🏻
