Summer invites us to connect more deeply to our heart. To pay attention to the things that make us feel most alive. The energy of summer is all about abundance, joy, play, expansion, love, growth, warmth and light. Make time and space for the things that make you feel most alive. Happy Friday. 💛☀️✨

Can we get curious about this theme of connection and inner wisdom? Can we create time and space to check-in with ourselves? Can we practice more stillness in order to feel more integration in our lives and on this journey? Can we come home to ourselves in a way that feels meaningful more loving and kind?

.
She is in a season of uncovering and discovering.
A season that invites more stillness and solitude.
A chapter that requires more listening and attunement.
She feels a sense of both excitement and impatience.
And while at times she feels a longing to return to more familiar programming, she also knows that something deeper is asking to be heard.
She knows that the more she disconnects from the noise of the outside world, the more deeply she can reconnect with her inner world.

She knows that discomfort is a precursor to change and to growth, and that this quieter path is making room for something more true.
And beneath the uncertainty of the path she is walking,
she is learning to trust herself more deeply.
She quiets her mind and she comforts her body, as she knows that this is the medicine her heart seeks.
And as life continues to pull her away from herself, she continues to find her way back home.

Nature is medicine.
Stillness is medicine.

These are both instrumental to your health and well-being. These are free and accessible to all of us.

Wishing you a wonderful long weekend full of nature and moments of stillness. ☀️🧘🏼‍♀️✨

🌷What if the love, connection and kindness that was missing in our lives was our own love, our own connection and our own kindness?
🌷What if we offered ourselves more time and space to listen, attune, and align to the wisdom that we carry within?
🌷What if the medicine that we needed most was to be seen, heard and honoured?
🌷What if we started feeling our feelings more deeply?
🌷Understanding ourselves more fully?
🌷Observing ourselves with more curiosity?
🌷Speaking our truths with more confidence?
🌷Releasing patterns of thinking, doing and being that are out of synch with who we are becoming?
🌷What if we reclaimed ownership over this sacred journey we are on in order to work with rather than against ourselves?
🌷What if...

“Sometimes the universe has other plans”.
I am not going to lie, the past two weeks have challenged me on so many levels.
Physical injuries are never just physical - they are emotional, mental, energic, and spiritual too.
But what I have come to terms with the past few days, is the importance of minding my mind.
While it is quite easy to focus on what is missing from my life right now - yoga, cold dipping, nature walks, freedom to roam about, flexibility, independence, spontaneity...the list is quite long.
What is equally true, is that there are so many things newly available to me, when I shift my attention and refocus my mind.
The daily invitation to slow down, to be in my own company in the comfort of my own home. The simple pleasures of small things: warm drinks, reading in the middle of the day, jiggle saw puzzle paradise. Kindness, support, and love, from family and friends. My body’s ability to heal, my mind’s ability to listen and my heart’s ability to attune. My ambient music and time for daily meditation. The sweet sparrows who visit me daily on the balcony out my bedroom window. Lulu who follows me from room to room, to be as close as she possibly can. ✨There are always blessings. ✨
I am ready to let go of the darkness and lean into the light again. Onward and upward. One day at a time. Where the mind goes, energy flows. ❤️✨🙏🏻

I wanted to share a bit of back story on Cedar and Sage and my commitment to community medicine. It is inspired by both my own personal experiences, but also by so many of the conversations that I have had in my private practice over the past 18 years. A little over four years ago, is when I decided...

I know that hormone imbalances deeply impact our physical, mental and emotional well-being.
I know perimenopause and menopause can wreak havoc on so many aspects of our lives.
I know everyone is talking about HRT, MHT and BHRT.
I know hormones are a very important topic when it comes to quality of life.
I know that hormone imbalances command our attention.
I also know that trying to balance hormones when metabolic dysfunction is part of the equation is putting the cart before the horse.
It is like trying to renovate the second floor when the kitchen is flooding.
Amidst all the noise around treatment options for hormones, let’s not forget that the foundation often needs attention and work too.
Let’s be sure to address the lifestyle factors that are magnifying these hormone imbalances.
I know there are a lot of moving parts; I am here to help you navigate your hormones from the bottom up.
