Being told “everything looks fine” doesn’t make persistent pain less real.
It’s a frustrating clinical experience: the MRI or X-ray shows no significant structural problem, yet the neck, back, shoulders, or jaw continue to hurt.
Normal imaging answers an important question about structure. It does not assess every possible contributor to pain.
Muscle tension, trigger points, neuromuscular patterns, and movement-related dysfunction may still be relevant even when imaging is unremarkable. That’s why persistent pain deserves to be assessed based on the full clinical pattern—not dismissed because a scan didn’t explain it.
At NDcare, the focus is on identifying what may be driving the pain when the obvious structural explanation isn’t there.
