Locked jaw isn’t something to “wait out.” It’s a sign your TMJ needs immediate attention.
A proper TMJ consultation helps us determine whether the restriction is mechanical (disc displacement, joint blockage), muscular/functional or pathological—and more importantly, how to safely manage it.
Some cases can be guided open and treated conservatively. Others require careful coordination and, when indicated, referral to an oral surgeon for further evaluation.
Ignoring it can make things worse.
Early assessment = better outcomes, less pain, and faster recovery.
If your jaw is locking, catching, or not opening fully—don’t guess. Get it assessed properly.
