This week marks Workplace Bullying Awareness Week, an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of kindness, respect, and consideration in our everyday interactions.

Positive interactions can make a meaningful difference in the places where we work and in the communities we share.

This week, we encourage everyone to take a moment to recognize the value of treating one another with kindness and respect.

October 12th is World Arthritis Day.

For people living with arthritis, everyday activities that many of us take for granted can sometimes become painful or challenging.

Support, appropriate treatment, movement, assistive strategies and adaptations can help people living with arthritis continue participating in the activities that matter to them.

This World Arthritis Day, we're helping raise awareness and recognizing the millions of people whose lives are affected by arthritis, as well as the families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals who support them.

Mental health is health. đź’š

On World Mental Health Day, we're reminded of the importance of listening, reducing the stigma and creating spaces where people feel safe asking for support.

Mental health experiences are different for everyone. Compassion, connection, and access to appropriate care and resources can make a meaningful difference.

Today, and every day, let's make room for conversations about mental health and remember that seeking support is a sign of strength.

As Thanksgiving weekend approaches, we're taking a moment to appreciate the people who make a difference in our communities every day.

We're especially grateful for healthcare professionals, caregivers, clients, families and community partners who support one another with compassion and kindness.

Whether you're celebration with loves ones, enjoying a quiet weekend or working to care for others, we wish you a safe and meaningful Thanksgiving.

And to everyone working throughout the holiday weekend, thank you for being there. 🧡

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 🩷🎀

This month, we recognize everyone whose life has been impacted by breast cancer, those living with a diagnosis, survivors, caregivers, families, friends, and those we remember.

Awareness, education, and access to screening can make a huge difference. Take time this month to learn about breast health, know what is normal for you and speak with a healthcare provider about screening that's appropriate for you.

Together, we can continue to support those affected by breast cancer and the people who care for them.

September 30th is Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It’s a time to remember the children who never returned home and to honour Survivors and their families. Reconciliation is rooted in the courage to listen, the humility to acknowledge past and ongoing harms, and an unwavering commitment to upholding the truth while confronting denialism in all forms. We stand in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples today and every day, committing ourselves to the essential, ongoing work of truth-telling and meaningful reconciliation.

A great week was had by all at the International Plowing Match in Walkerton! And while we’re sad to say goodbye (but only until next year!), our time was well spent - we strengthened existing bonds, made new friends, and had a wonderful time connecting with so many whose hearts and homes are in rural communities.

We are so grateful to event hosts, organizers, participants, and attendees for the opportunity to talk about the need for healthcare in rural areas.

See you next year!

The CarePartners modular clinics are built to bring healthcare to communities *anywhere* – including IPM! This year we offered *free personal blood pressure readings from CarePartners nursing staff on site!* as well as provided a clean, private breastfeeding space to families during the event. Danielle Lamot and her baby girl were just one of the families that made use of the space during IPM.
