Giving Back & Celebrating Our Student Volunteers 🎨💙

We recently celebrated the amazing OCAD students who volunteered their time and creativity to paint a beautiful mural in our back patio. Their hard work has brought so much colour, energy, and life to the space—and we couldn’t let the opportunity pass without showing our appreciation.

Our residents and team had a wonderful time celebrating with them, sharing some laughs, and saying a big thank you for everything they contributed.

To our student volunteers: thank you for sharing your talent with us and for leaving behind something that our community can enjoy for years to come. We’re so grateful! 💙🎨

🌼 July was full of good energy at The Annex!

We danced, we dressed up, and we brought a little peace and love into the building with our "That 70's" Live to the Fullest Festival. From flower crowns to peace signs, our residents and team really brought the groove back and the smiles proved it.

We also kicked things off with Moving Stories, a fun movement and music session that got everyone up, laughing, and swinging their scarves to the beat.

And don't miss our Annex Tree, dressed up for summer with handmade flip flops and paper boats. A sweet little project done all on her own by our amazing Karen!

So much joy packed into one month. Here's to more moments like these 💛

🎭 Lights, Laughter, and a Whole Lot of Fun! 🎉

Our residents kicked off 70's Celebration Week in style last night with a hilarious live comedy show right here in our lounge! From costumes to characters, our performers had the room roaring with laughter — and it was the perfect way to set the tone for a week full of groovy throwbacks, music, and memories.

A huge thank you to our incredible entertainers for bringing so much joy to our community, and to our residents for showing up (and laughing) so enthusiastically! 💃🕺

Stay tuned all week as we bring back the disco balls, the flower power, and the best decade of them all — the 70s!

As part of the Live To The Fullest Festival, residents across Cogir managed residences in Canada are joining forces for a unique collective challenge! Over the coming weeks, every step counts toward a shared goal: adding up everyone’s steps to see if, together, we can make it all the way to Woodstock — an iconic symbol of the 1970s 🎶✌️

A motivating, unifying, and high-energy challenge that encourages us to get moving, push ourselves, and truly live every moment to the fullest 💫
